Dalola, your welcome. It's made with part and pieces I had laying around.
I use it for a lot of things, from a manure fork to setting a pressure washer or stump grinder on to load on a PU. Just last week I used it on my L4240 to get under an air conditioner pad to move it and the condensing...
Moosefd, welcome.
Go to this link http://www.kubota.com/part/partsList.aspx and put a check mark to accept the above, then scroll down and enter your tractor model number in the box L3450).
You should come to a listing of all the components to that tractor. Go to "cooling water system"...
There is/was a female splined shaft that fit on what you see and extended out to the front of the tractor. That is where the electric clutch or hyd. pump was mounted.
When those shafts wore out they became a problem as they are not available from Kubota now. You have to get creative to get...
Ray, you guys are talking about electronic gizzmos. I can't get a phone to save a new number for an old saved one! Or get the wiring on a Kubota engine to run with Perkins' wiring....I got to keep it simple.
Maybe I'll have to get some guineas. :D
JR4AL, that's a frightening event, but I commend you to come online and report it. Your story may save some folks who think they're beyond trouble like you experienced.
You're safe, new machine...can't end much better then that!!
What you going to do to keep it mowed? A sickle mower...
Re: KabotaB5200
I think the B5200 only had a safety switch at the clutch peddle, but I could be wrong.
I agree, the dealer should be fixing the problem. You've already paid him!
Ray, did those coats of polyurethane cause the deck to be slick?
Now you identify yourself as weird, " Lol... Same trailer bed, same wife."
This day in age, most guys wouldn't be satisfied with either one after 37 years!:D
I've got two 4' sets of that rear blade. Got them at an auction. My local maintainer guy said they use those in the spring when they work the roads up for dust control.
I'd fabricate one up, but I'd probably never use it. I've got 150' of driveway that's pretty easy to keep nice with what I...
CBH, welcome to the forum. You found the linkage just before it gave up!
A flat washer and a wire welder would have both parts mended in short order.
By the way, you get extra points since you posted pictures!!
That shaft is attached to the front of the crankshaft and was used for various purposes like an electric clutch to power a belly mower, or a hyd. pump for a loader, etc.
Here's a rake/mover I made about 20 years ago for a B8200. The ears fit over the loader bucket. Bucket had a 2" ball on the top where most have a hook. The come-a-long has a loop welded on the end that fit over the ball and then tighten the come-s-long snug. Works fine. Easy to make. Used...
I had a problem similar to what you're describing once. I did all kinds of checks with my meter, and came up with varied results. In disgust, I removed the starter and drove 25 miles to the rebuilder to have him double check it. In short order he said it was fine, and sent me on my way.
Go...
