    L185 Engine noise

It's nice you got the problem fixed with just replacing injectors, and was able to see the injector's problem. There's not much worse when working on something mechanical and you replace some parts and fix a problem, but never discover what the actual problem was!

    Paranoid?

PHPaul, I agree with what you're saying. No matter where you live extremes in weather cause us to change our habits from time to time. Best to know that and make all reasonable preparations before the event occurs. Now to aid in your boredom subscribe to "Farm Show". You can read them 5 or 6...

    Rear rims/tires for B6100hst-e

Like North Idaho Wolfman said, E means it's two wheel drive. So tire circumference is not a critical factor as far as the drive train goes. You put an extremely large tire on the back you might better fuel economy running down hill all the time!!:D:D

    Roading A Tractor

For a half of a mile I would road it unless it was Interstate! Take longer to load and boom down, then unload then to drive it there.

    flood tractors

Skeets, I had a friend telling me just yesterday of something similar. He needed a clothes washing machine. He brother regularly attends a place that has closed bids on items. His brother bid for a couple of washers and finally was the low bidder at like $250. They were new Maytag machines...

Splitting L4850 - Bad release bearing

Rob, a level concrete floor isn't a must, it is a luxury. I've separated a 60HP tractor by cribbing up the rear half, and using a 3/4" sheet of plywood under the front half to allow the floor jack to roll. It was in a barn, but it had gravel throughout. Nice description of the process. Might...

    Fueling solutions

How much diesel do you use? One tractor or others also? If you're THAT far from a diesel pump you might consider a tank mounted on stands. Probably have to purchase 100 gal. min. but they bring it to you. It 6' in the air so gravity is your pump, no electricity needed. Pretty simple, but...

Brand new L4701 lost oil plug and run dry

You may be the guru of all things mechanical, but I'm not following your advise! You sound just like the answer the dealer may very well regurgitate, simply so they can get the owner out the door with no problems. Do you work for a third world tractor dealer? Make it work 'cause we don't...

    B2650 fuel filter

Using a different blend of diesel will have no effect on your filter, or allow a CLEANER start for winter. You are overthinking this project!!
