Has anyone used the product "sticktion elimanator.

Not to start a oil war but because you asked, I use Amsoil in everything I own. Not a bling change either. I compared Amsoil to what I was using and if I got better results I would switch. I'm with you about the snake-oil. I've never believed in the miracle in a bottle type stuff. If I buy...

    New toy for next year

I have never had the need to take my tractors back for anything either. Only implement I've had back was a 5' rotary cutter and only then because it was under warranty and needed to prove a point to a sorry excuse for a dealer. I love the internet and parts that can be found but when hay is...

OK, So I do not need a new tractor! But a excavator? Maybe...HELP!

As a former owner of 2 different Kubota tractors with backhoe attachment I'll say go with a mini. I was fine with a backhoe because I didn't know any better. I changed jobs and operated a bigger excavator for a year. After that I hated my backhoe. As soon as I found a mini in my price range I...

Use good oil to start with and you don't need a additive.

    New toy for next year

I'll have to agree. I've had very little trouble from my Super I and for the last few years have far exceeded it's limitations on a production standpoint. A need for more bales a day is the biggest reason for the new baler. In the past most of the balers around here were NH. Now while there...

    New toy for next year

Don't do squares but on round I use poly. Main reason for me is it feeds so much better and the knives cut it easier because it's smaller than sisal. Another plus is the big balls of poly are 20,000' to sisal 16,000' and the poly is less than half the price. Last for me only applies to round...

    New toy for next year

Actually before I put it up for winter I did wax it. Took me 3 afternoons and a step ladder but I got it done.

    New toy for next year

Red is the wrong color around here unless it's a older baler. Our local dealer hates the new roll belt balers for some reason. Next closest NH dealer is 2 hrs away. I got it with net and twine. Dealer said most people don't even use the twine but I would rather have it just in case.

    New toy for next year

After a long summer of doing hay by myself I got me a new baler to speed things up. I'm hoping it will make life easier.

    L2501DT

If you need ptohp and pulling power at the same time doing field work the DT is way better. Kubota should be ashamed of themselves for taking away features from DT tractors. By doing so they either force you to get a hst or do without.

    Bush Hog -- FYI

I took all 6 of mine off with a 1/2 IR Thundergun. It's stronger than my 3/4 gun.

Fuel water separation on B-series or L-series?

I put a Dahl filter on my L years ago and use the 2 micron element. I have it plumbed in as my Primary filter. it works so good I don't even change my factory filter except when I feel guilty because it's been so long. Honestly I probably could get by with never changing it because it never has...

    Grease

Been using Amsoil grease with moly for 25 years and have never had a lubricant related failure. Does you no good though because I order it online.

    Hydro fluid change

I'd guess and say it's because of the amount of fluid required. My L3000 only holds 8 gallons and is listed at 400 hrs. My M9000 holds 22 gallon s and is listed at 600 hrs.

    Hydro fluid change

Kind of reminds me of a guy I worked with. He gave me all kinds of crap because I gave $400 for a pair of boots. "I gave $60 for these at Walmart" he said. Next month it was another $60. In total he bought a pair of those $60 boots every month because they were junk. I asked him one day how he...

    Bush Hog 286 vibration

Check the blades. My 3008 will vibrate if the blades are stuck. I get under it and work the blades until they spin free and then spray lube them.

How big a brush hog on a mx5200

A 8' dual spindle is easier to handle than a 7' single. I have a 3008 bushhog and it's been a very good cutter. I haven't used it in several years since moving up to a 15' batwing. I can't imagine you being able to handle more than a 8' with a MX.
