    1 or 2

My experience when 2 cylinders are doing the same job when you only repair one the other will go shortly after. I'd do both and be done with it.

Synthetic or Conventional motor oil in Kubota diesels

Man, you guys are getting soft. I remember back in the day when synthetic was mentioned it was like getting kicked in the nuts while trying to smack the color off a rattle snake. Glad to see some are a little more open minded now. Hedgerow, I changed mine over to Amsoil on the first change and...

    Fresh Fuel?

That's why I asked. Each person has different needs and if jugs fit the bill for you that's what I would use. I had to use a 5 gallon jug when I had my tank off my M for repair. I was thinking how much I hated it and that was only one jug. Filling my bulk tanks is easy. I just call my fuel guy...

    Fresh Fuel?

I'm just curious. Instead of keeping that many jugs why not get a drum and a hand pump or a small bulk tank? looks like that would make life much easier.

    PTO Engaging - No Clutch

It sounds like you got lucky. A flail mower doesn't take as much power to get up to speed as say a rotary cutter. I would say on a implement that takes a lot of power he would have found the weak link by engaging at high rpm's. Personally I always engage at low idle and bring the implement up to...

So I went ahead and let a little air out..................

I have R1 tires but I don't run but about 14 psi in the rear year round and run 30 psi in the front of my loader tractor.

    Fresh Fuel?

A lot of it depends on storage. Fuel is not like gas and can be stored properly without issues. In a 5 gallon jug, I would use it up. That is not a very good way to store fuel.

    Maintenance schedule

Engine oil needs to be changed at least once a year no matter what brand you use. On the hydraulic fluid I would just keep a eye on it for signs of moisture.

    First day using new baler

No it's not because I don't have any plans for wet hay right now. If I ever change my mind all that has to be done it change 2 rollers and it's ready for silage.

    First day using new baler

On the way to the field for the first time. And the picture of her first one. I'm a very happy camper. This thing will eat some hay and makes a pretty bale.

    Culvert do-over ... rocks?

I put a 6' pipe in my creek. I used 6-12" rip rap on the upstream side and drove t-post in front of the rock to help hold them in place. Then filled over the top with dirt and packed it down around the rock from the top side. It's held up very well.

    Best All Around Tractor Grease

I use this AMSOIL on everything from my loader to drivelines. I even contacted the tech department to make sure it would work in the bearings on my new baler and they said it was fine for that application as well. I've been using it for years and have never had a lubricant related failure. It...

LA524 Rolling back bucket while lifting

On most of the smaller tractors they only have enough hydraulic flow to do one function at a time. You can do 2 but at limited power and speed. Now like my M9000 for example. I can say work the 3pt and one remote or both remotes at the same time under full flow to either function but it has...

Why the "curved/bent" boom on mini excavators?

A straight boom probably wouldn't affect the lift height but digging depth would suffer. I can remember cleaning our settling pond with a standard machine and the end of the boom would be sticking in the water. A straight boom would run out of cylinder travel before the boom ever got close to...

Why the "curved/bent" boom on mini excavators?

I think the curved boom allows for deeper digging depth and also has much higher lift capacity because of the way the hoist cylinders are able to be mounted.

This is what I use. Flail head works good.

    Surprises from reading manual

My manuals say to change everything, including the hyd fluid and the front axle @ 50hrs. The surprise is that new manuals skip this step and I know the tractors are still full of metal filings just as they always have been.

    Another grease thread

Wendol, I use the Amsoil polymeric off-road grease for everything you have listed. I have been using Amsoil moly grease for over 20 years and have never had a lubrication related failure. I also keep some of their multi purpose grease for wheel bearings.
