B1550 - how much weight can I pull?

The manual states 1,100LBS max trailer W/O brakes, 2,200lbs with trailer brakes. It doesn't provide a figure for tongue weight on the drawbar, but states max load on lower lift arms is 400LBS. If you're pulling on solid level ground, you can tow more. Always tow from the drawbar. If your...

    Root Ripper BXpanded

I don't see any advantage to the ripper in your particular situation. The ripper shines when you need to chew threw roots that grow out away from the stump. Here in PA, we have these black gum trees that have a tap root to hell, and I cannot get them out with my ripper tooth no matter how hard...

    Blowing the 40 Amp fuse

Attached is the starting circuit wiring diagram. It appears when the key is turned to the "start" position, it energizes two things: the starter relay and the glow plug controller. I'd be leaning more toward the starter relay and wiring than the glow controller. The glow controller is also...

    B7200 hydraulic steering parts breakdown

I don't see any reason why that wouldn't work. The pressure is well below 600PSI.

    Mid Mount Mower availability

The MMM on 4x4 B series is definitely the ticket if you got nasty banks to mow. It cuts every bit as nice as a zero turn too.

    B9200 hitch lift height

Attached is a pic of the B7200 gated guard for the 3point. Not sure if it's the same on the B9200 though. If it is, the control levers never hold tension. I usually have to tighten it once a year. You can tell by how marked up the nut is. Next time I stop by Messciks, I plan on getting two...

    Blowing the 40 Amp fuse

Also, does the fuse clear when the IG switch is in the "off", "on", or "start" position?

    Starter engaging and disengaging

True, but the OP states he replaced the starter (which contains the solenoid), so I would have to assume it's not the solenoid. But then again, in a post corona world, you have a 50/50 chance of receiving a quality working part.

    Blowing the 40 Amp fuse

You will have some work cut out for you to further investigate. Locating faults is painfully unfun. I suggest a case of beer to assist you! Please see attached L3010 wire system schematic. I've highlight your first checks that need to be made in green. You'll have to isolate these...

    Starter engaging and disengaging

Check to make sure your battery is good, and that both positive and negative cables of the battery are clean and tight.

    B7200 hydraulic steering parts breakdown

That setup is so rare that there probably aren't many on here who have that combination. It was a factory installed option though. It definitely needs attention . You're going to have to modify that tube so it's either above or below the steering booster. You could also remove that section...

Tires tearing up the lawn, go wider?

R1's will mark nice grass up no matter how careful you are. Going wider probably isn't going to give you results you're hoping for. That's the nature of the beast for cleated tires. I've had great results with the multi-trac turf design. My sandmound has around a 15 degree grade to it. As...

    B7100 front axle oil question

Thanks for the education Bill. I sold my B7100 years ago and didn't remember changing any oil in that housing. I did manage to find an old picture of mine and sure enough it did have a fill and drain plug...

    B7100 front axle oil question

That's the front driveshaft U-joint housing. The drain is for water condensation. I'm pretty sure that bolt should be facing down. I think your housing needs rotated CCW by one boltset. Neither of my B7200's have that condensate drain, so Kubota must have determined it unnecessary.

    Moving heavy trailer with BX

You can probably get away with it if you're on solid level ground. If you're on any type of grade, you're asking for trouble. Attach to drawbar only.

    Blowing the 40 Amp fuse

I was reading through my L3010 WSM to see if there is anything glaringly obvious. There wasn't any troubleshooting suggestions if the 40A slow-blow fuse continuously clears. Then I came across the attached statement. While you didn't use a slave battery to start the machine, it's possible you...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Added a gearbox breather to my MMM. I'm trying to figure out why it keeps seeping oil through the pinion seal. When I went to open the fill plug, it let out a whoosh of air. That's when I thought it might be from built up pressure. I can't figure out why Kubota omitted a vent from the older...

    B7100 subframe question

They most likely attach the front frame to the engine block and are very much needed. I would reinstall them. You may or may not have to shorten them with a hacksaw if they bottom out before seating.

    Blowing the 40 Amp fuse

If the IG switch is the only thing you rigged, then I would start with that. Exactly what pins did you jumper?

    Moving trashed logs

That method of moving multiple logs at one time has never worked well for me. They always seem to catch something, sepearte, and come out of the choker chain. I find that cutting them to manageable lengths and using pallet forks is the best way.
