BX-2370 - I'm seriously considering buying one. Need opinions.

I'm gonna have to try that wife chasing thing with the BX one of these days. But I will say the little BX has been a dead solid and dependable workhorse for more than 10 years now. It is indeed low to the ground vs. a B model and that has both advantages and disadvantages, but it's just...

    ZD326 hst noise?

Don't know much about ztr's, but a noisy HST just after servicing would make me wonder who did the service and what fluid was used. Can the dealer vouch for how it was serviced? So many stories of erratic, noisy HST operation due to using cheap hydraulic fluids.

    bx2200 3point doesnt work,real slow

I would first re-mount the FEL and see if it is still working normally. If it does work as before, you know there is something in the way you're connecting that jumper that is causing your problem. Those BX models could come new with a couple of slightly different hose configurations. Also...

    MMM Front linkage hookup

The wheel should spin freely when it's hooked up properly. Is it possible it's the wrong size caster? It doesn't look like it, but even one 1/8" smaller would not bind up like that. What does the dealer say? Also, that's a floating, or suspended, deck according to the literature, meaning the...

    B4200 Dilemma?

Your truck loading height requirement pretty much knocks the BX out of contention. It is happy loading over the side of a small pickup but doesn't have the height and reach for loading to the center of anything much taller than that. Your root clearing project also points to something with...

    B2650 PTO Knocking

Re: Please Help!! You don't say if it has been like this since day 1 or not. I would be suspicious of some problem with one of the external linkages being bent, misaligned or simply not engaging completely. However I wouldn't take a chance with a brand new tractor. Certainly if you can get...

    Kubota QA vs SSQA

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Kubota QA is the same as SSQA. This was always a selling point for Kubota vs. Deere because Deere had its own proprietary QA.

    B4200 Dilemma?

All I can say is I've been using a 4' box blade behind my BX for more than 10 years and have done plenty of useful work with it. I also have a much larger Grand L with a 6' box blade and while the big one moves a lot more material, the little BX pulls a full box of gravel just the same as its...

L4310 HST shot sparks and wont start.

If it was giving you a fireworks show, someplace there will be evidence of it... soot, melted contacts or wire, singed/melted insulation, burned smell... something like that. Have you found that yet? Until you find that, you're kinda working in the dark, so to speak.

L4310 HST shot sparks and wont start.

Let me know if you don't have any luck with the wiring diagram. I have a shop manual and maybe we could work out a way to get you an image. However, I would think any problem that causes the sort of sparking you describe would be really obvious, with or without the wiring schematic. Unless...

Up on Two Wheels - not fun!

Something else to consider, maybe it's obvious but also worth a mention: If this is a trail on your place that you are using to get somewhere, you may want to use your new rig to make some "adjustments" to the path so it is safer to travel on. And if it's a place you're actually trying to...

    Kubota L6060 or M6060

It sounds like your needs are more "property care" than "farm chores". With 10 acres, your place is about the same as mine, where a slightly smaller, open station Grand L has been more than adequate for many years. So I'd vote for the L, particularly since it will give you the Hst+ that's not...

    Kubota QA vs SSQA

Wish I had gone for QA on my L4610 when I got it in 2002. I think the standard Kubota QA setup accepts skidsteer type attachments so it's just a matter of which attachment will work successfully on your tractor regarding weight, function and hydraulic requirements, if any. Many owners rave...

    A Neglected Machine...

You'll have a sweet little machine when you're done fixing her up. Very nice!

Up on Two Wheels - not fun!

What he (and Wolfman), said! Crossing gullies and ditches on the diagonal is likely to end up like this since the tractor has no suspension, only a mild pivot on the front axle. Approaching head-on works better when you can do it, but having a cutter in back greatly limits how much rear ground...

who needs a cab tractor? how to decide?

Pluses: Well you already stated them: comfort in hot/cold conditions, no dust, bugs, thorns, etc. Minuses: Gets in the way around trees and in the woods, less visibility, makes tractor more top-heavy, getting on/off slightly more difficult, mirrors and doors can get snagged and broken...

    HST oil

"Your machine - your wallet" sums things up nicely, but here's why staying with the factory recommended SUDT and/or SUDT2 always made sense to me. 1. The hydraulics are the heart of these tractors; if the plumbing gets boogered up, nothing works properly. 2. Having spent what for me was major...

4 in 1 bx bucket by landpride

The 4 in 1 type bucket is very versatile, but is heavier than a standard bucket and cuts into the lift capacity of the FEL. I don't know exactly what the bucket on my BX weighs, but it seems to be about 150 lbs. It says that 4 in 1 for the BX weighs about 250 lbs and thus would take out maybe...

    Freekin ticks

Must be some truth to that. My daughter, who's a practicing vet, mentioned that they've already had a couple of tick bite cases testing positive for Rocky Mountain Spotted fever.

BX2200D 60" Mower Deck Belt popping off

Also possible the belt itself needs replacing. If there are cracks or bad sections in the belt or it is stretched, it could jump out. After 10 seasons of use I noticed some slippage on mine due to wear and stretching. While it never jumped, there was some cracking that would eventually have...
