What About Your Tractor Makes You Swear?

Howdy yourself, from another new OTT member, but one who's owned his Kubotas for several years. That HST range selector is indeed pretty notchy all on its own and it's not likely the clutch has anything to do with it. It will get better with use, but it was made for strength, not ease of...

What About Your Tractor Makes You Swear?

Replacing parts all the time. Just had to put in a new headlight bulb. That's the second unplanned part failure since I got the darn thing. The first one was a sensor switch. Talk about unreliable. Of course I bought it new in April, 2002. :-)

3 Point go uppy, no go downie

Please don't beat yourself up too severely for sharing your problem. Your comments gave a chuckle to a bunch of folks, many of whom probably need one after doing their taxes. And there's probably not a one who hasn't done something just as absent-minded on more than one occasion. Enjoy that...

    B3030 NEWBIE with backhoe

The operators manual for mine says to leave it with everything lowered to the ground when parking it overnight, etc., and to relieve any pressure in the hydraulic circuits by cycling the controls after shutting it down. But we had to store it pinned-up for a year or so, with no adverse results...

    Brush Hog Setup - assembly

To be honest, my cutter goes on a larger tractor but TripleR is right about the BX's tendency to drift down some. I see it with other implements like the box blade. For that sort of implement, you're constantly fiddling with the height adjustment anyhow, so it's not an issue, but for mowing any...

    Brush Hog Setup - assembly

My brush cutter likewise has the same "U" shaped swinging bracket for attaching the top link. Unfortunately, the only photo I've ever taken of it does not show the 3 point hookup, but the other comments here are generally right... you use the two lower arms to set the height off the ground for...

    backhoe question

Contrary to the rumor you heard, Kubota makes its own backhoes and front end loaders, even for the little BX tractor. If you look first hand at the Kubota BH's, particularly on the larger tractors, it's apparent they aren't the same as what Woods offers. As others indicate, if you want a...

Kubota b 3030 with woods backhoe and cab TOPHEAVY

Glad to hear you're making progress. One suggestion not yet mentioned is to check the tire pressures, particularly in the rears. The backhoe is a good load on the back of the B3030; if the rears are underinflated it will add considerably to the tippyness (is that a word?). Ordinarily if the...

    hst noisy

Does the engine seem to work harder to make it move? That would indicate something is binding up. A couple of simple things to check: a.) Parking brake off? b.) 3 point lift... is the up/down lever in center, neutral position? Also, is the lowering speed adjustment knob (at your feet...
