    Winter Prep Already?!?!

Depending on wind direction, sometimes we’re spared the Lake Effect altogether here at the house. We’re kind of on the outer edge of both Ontario and Erie LE. As you know, can vary greatly in just a few miles. Just depends on the wind…. I’ve seen times where we had a dusting here and 10 miles...

    Winter Prep Already?!?!

Guess I don’t see your point nor any arguments. 🧐 If I’m wrong, please point out the discord that leads to your comment. There’s been quite a few contributors to this thread over the last couple years….. do you guys see this as argumentative?!?!😳 Energy rates, whether electricity, natural...

    Winter Prep Already?!?!

I've looked at this or similar site for years. Allows you to input your actuals: Compare Fuel Costs My experience pellets costs are less this year than last year. Not a lot, but noticeable at -15% +/-. A couple years ago I might agree for those that have electric for an option. My NYSEG...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

For years, I've thought I would "improve" my homebrew winter worklights on the BX2360. The ROPS on a BX2360 is short….less than 6 feet, so there’s room on top that give good illumination and can still clear the overhead door easily. I used the spare 10A Work Light circuit wiring that was taped...

    Matching Kubota orange paint.

A little project today made me think of this thread. I wouldn't be inclined to spray the impellor housing of my snowblower with anything but a rattle can. Will be scraped off in a couple uses anyway. Way things are with a stone driveway. Like others said - Rustoleum Tractor & Implement is...

    Winter Prep Already?!?!

I’m late getting the winter stockpile finalized but I should be good until March. Depends on what Mother Nature sends our way this season. My garage is always full this time of year

    BX2380 Won't Start

My apologies I honestly missed the “arc flash” in the dash. Gonna have to dig a little more on that one. It’s not a displaced safety switch if I were to guess.

    What's cookin' boys?

Stuffed peppers with green salad. Best I’ve had today.

    BX2380 Won't Start

First thing I check is the PTO lever. I hit it 100 times/year getting off and the tractor won't start. Only takes 1/4"...... It's something simple.

They're quite a pair......Geddy's role as one of the Dwarfs was "Happy." Big surprise......:)

No he didn’t vote but did wait in the truck while Dad voted. Figure that warranted a sticker. And then he rested…..Civic Responsibility obviously weighed heavily on him. 😉

B8200 low transmission level/crank case oil way over full

Absolutely. Otherwise, you have no clue what you’re may (or may not) be chasing. Do all fluid and filter changes as anyone would do. Best for a baseline with a machine new to another owner. Then evaluate where levels are at and possibly why they’re not where they’re supposed to be.

Loader bucket for extra ballast, hauling wood etc.

I agree with both of the responses. An empty bucket on the back won’t weigh much empty. Maybe 250 pounds + ? I think you want something in the 600-800 pound range for FEL work.

    Coolant Exchange M6800

Dan - I was aware all were EG coolant, but little else. As usual you boil it down to the fundamentals in a succinct manner. Again, this is NOT what I used in the tractor. What I had on hand. No reference to PHOAT, POAT, OAT, IAT, or MIC, KEY, or MOUSE. 😉 Maybe was a wise choice to leave...

    Coolant Exchange M6800

I certainly can relate to @mcmxi saying he learned something today. I changed mine a year ago and had a difficult time finding the right stuff. So many more alternatives than years ago. Tried to find the container just now without luck. Must have used all of it. Pretty sure it was correct...

Kubota L Series Tractor Winter Maintenance and Performance Suggestions

I like to use a battery maintainer/tender in winter. Not a trickle charger, but a maintainer that doesn’t overcharge and ruin battery. I don’t have a block heater but they’re handy. I switched from 15w-40 to 5w-40 and noticed a difference in cold starts. You mentioned a “starting aid.”...

    Daily Chuckle

Trust me, no expert anymore but I was very much into guns years ago. I referred to loaded rifle rimfire, centerfire as well as shotgun shells all as “shells” when loaded. May not have been technically correct, but it’s what I used. I referred to spent centerfire rifle “shell” brass as...

Blue tooth ear buds. Which are best over all for noise reduction, music, and noise cancelling.

This thread has been a learning experience for me. I looked up some of the recommended devices early on. May have to look again. Always learn interesting stuff on OTT. 😉

Looking for Ideas on how to keep birds from destroying my new fascia boards.

We’ve all had our experiences…..🪲 or so I’ve heard…😉 To circle back to the original question, those are what create those damned holes in the wall after all…….😉 (sarcasm emphasized)
