    Backhoe Swing Lock Pin

Ditch Witch came up with a simple solution to locking the bucket from swinging when not in use. They have a chain hook welded to each side of the boom. On each outrigger a chain is welded about 1/3rd the distance up from the foot. When the outrigger is up put the chain in the hook. Every...

    B7100HST Brakes - Max adjusted? - Time for shoes/lining ?

On the HST tractors I own I almost never use the brakes. Because you may be at the end of adjustment does not mean you need to replace brakes! This is a slow moving machine that quits rolling when the fuel is limited by the operator.

Sigh, I need to tap one of my lug holes. Any advice?

If you're working on it yourself, if that tire is loaded with fluid, be aware it is HEAVY, so handle it accordingly.

    Kubota hydraulic fluid for GST?

Kubota's Super UDT is $140 for 5 gallons. I wouldn't let $26 stop me from using what the manufacturer suggest. That's not much money for the years it will take most to put the replacement hours on their machine.

Finding a factory mount to fit your tractor will next to impossible, and if it is found/fabricated cost will likely be prohibitive. If you have some equipment and fabricating skills you can make the mount to get the loader on your tractor. I bought a Massey 1246 loader and built the mounting...

Fixing hole in side of block

A few folks make comments on the "less then positive" side about Joe's operation and process. According to most it's unorthodox, but I think I would get along with Joe just fine if he was nearby. I appreciate his willingness to solve problem and document it for all to see. He makes something...

    Where to purchase implements?

I know a couple of guys who farm but go to farm auctions regularly, I think as a break in their routine. Kind of like city folk going to a movie on a regular basis. They buy things often just because of price, but some things they do buy for their use. They end up with a yard/barn of various...

BX23's are NOT for mud gripe!

I have a simple solution, don"t play in the mud! R1 tires will eventually do the same thing. Dozer tracks will do the same thing. Answer, don't fill tires with mud and for sure don't let them freeze.

Fixing hole in side of block

I got this one off somehow without removing the entire steering shaft. Too long ago to remember the details.
