    Snow chains…do I need them?

You guys talking about the amount of snow and need for chains..... You get more snow in one event then we get in 10 years. Myself and a neighbor run up and down the county road clearing everyone's driveway, and both of us have R4's....never a problem. I do have highly modified tread design...

    Grapplers

You speak of a grapple? You only need one for your tractor. You need hydraulics run to the front of the tractor for the grapple to function. Many brands, widths, styles, weights. So many choices to be made.

Is there anyway to stop a leather belt from slipping on an old South Bend lathe

Actually, no more laces then that belt has you could easily make a new belt with those laces. Ever seen a baler belt spliced together? Same process, just easier because there is not much holding the ends together.

Interesting Kubota site with lots of history / information

After WW2 the US went to Japan and helped rebuild. The rebuild meant Japan had the most modern equipment available in the day. Their quality was not good at the beginning, and a stamp saying "Made in Japan" had a negative connotation. During the 1964 Olympics the events were timed by the use...

LA535 lift capacity at front lip?

If you want an answer put the chains around the bucket as Moose described and pick up your implement. It either does or doesn't. If the rear seems too light add something to the back. Never lift any higher then necessary, and only do the highest lift when necessary and drop back down.

Will Old Ford 5 foot flai mower work on Kubota L2900?

You have to have a look at the flails. That will determine how much you will spend to get it in good condition to mow. See if it has the "Y" flails or the wide solid flails. The solid flails are needed if you are going to go over brush larger then an inch or so. The "Y" flails will mow a...

Fixing hole in side of block

That paragraph there is critical. It's usually easy to tell by the rust on the end of the bolt, but don't take it for granted! Good to point it out. Most would overlook it, until it's too late.

Fixing hole in side of block

I bought it not know what would happen with it, just a bargain I couldn't pass up. I did some fixen and put it all back together. New oil pan, new clutch (you've probably seen picture on here of the rusted out clutch), a freeze plug or two, water pump. I don't really remember it all. North...
