    Anyone build a 'replica' Cobra?

I wish!!! Being less financially flush I will be entertaining myself by putting a 1986 Fox body Thunderbird into a 1966 Ranchero. That should create enough problems for me to solve on the cheap.

    L48 200 hour filter change

If you're REALLY quick you can swap a filter with minimal fluid loss. I'm not that quick so I connect a shop vac to the oil fill port. The vacuum provides negative pressure and you lose very little fluid beyond what's in the filter itself. You may wish to have a gallon on hand to replace the...

B7800 Wix or Fram filter numbers for oil and hydraulic filters.

I have nothing against Wix filters though I do use Bosch filters in my cars and trucks. I am sure there are filters out there as good as what Kubota sells but I'll continue using their filters, especially for my HST transmission. For the difference in price and as often as they need changed I...

    MX5000 smoking

White or gray smoke is not uncommon when an engine is warming up. In a warm engine it may be indicative of an incorrect fuel air ratio or moisture in some form getting into the cylinders.

    28in front tires on l3901

If the outer circumference is the same it won't matter. The problem would be mounting a 28 inch tire on a 27 inch rim. I wouldn't think you could do that. The tires are possibly miss marked or maybe you read the size wrong. In either case compare the circumference of the old and the new...

    4300DT PTO help

I don't know what you mean by a long time to engage. If it is not slipping during use the clutch is probably fine. Do you mean after depressing the clutch it takes awhile before you can engage the PTO or is the PTO slow to come up to speed after releasing the clutch? Are you sure you're using...

    Starting Kubota M105X

Start by making sure you have a known good battery. A load test may be in order though that's probably not it if cold starts are good. If twisting a battery cable makes it work try disconnecting both battery cables. Clean battery posts and inside the cable connectors. Replace on the battery...

    L3301 Won't Start Issue

It is possible your HST pedal is binding and not fully returning to its neutral position. If it is freely and consistently returning to its neutral position a switch adjustment is probably in order.

    3 PONT HITCH WON'T LIFT

I hope someone who knows something responds. I have read of some interaction between the three point lift and the blade deck lift, I think. Check your owner manual, there may be a lever to flip to select between them. I think it varies by model.

    which fuse?

I'm going to guess the work light fuse. It's a ten amp fuse. At least that's what it is on my L2501.

    Won't start.

I like to make sure the dumb stuff is done first. The last time I had a tractor not start I tried several things before checking the air filter. i cleaned it and the unit fired right up.

Kubota l345 no. Hydraulic pressure on 3-point hitch no front end loader on this tractor

If you ran completely out of fluid it is possible you'll have to prime the pump before it can pump again. You may also have a leak on the suction side or a clogged screen or filter.

    Stinky Water Fixed

Interesting responses. Thanks, guys. Since all is now well I have concluded the problem was compromised pressure tanks. I feared my aquifer was contaminated. I do run the house water through a couple filters but not the water for irrigation. The house had two pressure tanks when I moved in...

    Stinky Water Fixed

I'm on a well, pump at about 440 feet. Water picked up a rotten egg smell and taste. Pour a glass, let sit overnight, it's fine. My pressure tanks have been losing pressure. I replaced them. Water went back to tasting like water - basically no taste. Both tanks on removal had water. One...

Fuses blowing, sometimes won’t turn over

You seem to be lumping several problems together. Generally if dash lights illuminate but starter won't turn you have not satisfied a safety. The dying while running may or may not be related. Something has to turn off the fuel to kill the engine. Getting off the seat while in motion or...

Front and rear work lights dead L4060

You have power to the switches.. That's a good thing. Do you have power out of the switches? If not the switches may be bad. If you have power out of the switches check the power at the light. If you have power there, too, the bulb is probably defective. If you have no power to the bulb...

RTV 400 giving shock touching metal frame?

Mark covered it all very well. Give extra attention to cleaning and tightening the ground cable where it attaches to the frame. Getting shocked touching the frame or roll bar suggests something is amiss with the system grounding.

    Transmission capacity issue

You are unlikely to ever get ALL the fluid out short of a rebuild. The stated capacity is for dead empty on a brand new transmission.
