    Black Smith types

Start with a stove bolt. The head is already rounded, put it in a vise and "Distress" the head. It will look more like a rivet.

HF 3 Point Quick Hitch on Sale

It is a standard size, my neighbor liked it so much, he picked one up also. Between us we have a king cutter 7' rake, a 8' and a 6' land plane, a cultivator, I just rehabbed a cat 0, 5' box blade to fit the full size hitch, and a towing "A" frame with replaceable 2" hitches. It is EXTREMELY easy...

    Warranty on dealer installed failure

I have the tractor (14, BX25D) in the shop up on the lift, so I could really check it out. The "kit" for the 3rd function from Land Pride, which is all part of the same conglomerate of company's, looks very complete. It's just the way the hoses were routed and not tied down securely, that caused...

    Warranty on dealer installed failure

I was pleasantly surprised when I drove to town this morning to visit the Kubota dealer. Both owners were present, and I had a sit down with the co-owner that was also the head of sales. He printed out the hydraulic hose routing and installation instructions, and did remember me bringing in my...

Do you cover your trailer ?

B Here's my old car hauler trailer, it's been towed all over the country with cars and lumber on it since 1990. I replaced the wood once, only because my brother had a VW sand rail seeping oil parked on it for two years, and it wicked into the wood. It's been repainted 2 times, with many touch...

Do you cover your trailer ?

I keep my car hauler trailer under a carport, the wood on the deck stays looking better longer and the tires don't see sun. Nothing wrong with keeping your equipment nice.

    Warranty on dealer installed failure

Now....dumb question....would a series of heavy duty zip ties have done the trick? Either a 90 degree fitting, or possibly zip ties may have kept the hose out of the HST fan, both should have been done at least. But there's NO excuse for running the hydro lines under the frame, than...

    Warranty on dealer installed failure

Last summer I saved up and purchased a Grapple, front quick hitch and third functionkit for my BX. When I contacted my dealer they actually made me a good deal on it, and free installation. Still expensive, but saved a couple hundred. Today I was grading my road with my land plane, when...

    18" auger on BX25

I know it's nice to bore a clean perfect sized hole, and looks professional, but if you have a couple HF tarps, and practice with the backhoe, you can do anything you need and not stress the equipment. After the tree is in, refill the dirt, and lift the tarp. That way there's not soil all over...

    18" auger on BX25

You might have to dig real slowly with that big of an auger, also depending on what type of soil your boring into. In this rocky assed ground a 9" for 6x6 posts is probably the max.

    Please stay springtime

We'll have to get all the OTT folks from N Idaho, E. Washington, W. Montana, Canada, or as far as you want to drive in from and have a BBQ, and a few beverages around the fire pit. We have had 22 at the fire pit, with room for a few more. I'll be happy to host one here, ( kinda near Silverwood)...

Must Haves for new BX25D: Shield Plates, Tow Hitch, Fuel Shut & Quick Attach

If your working in a tight area, you can keep the backhoe off and put a few weights on the rear 3 point hitch, it will keep you a few feet shorter. I have been using my FEL with nothing but a quick hitch on the rear, moving snow piles and it's really stable. You can feel the tipping point, snow...

    Please stay springtime

Especially around Sagle, where the water is flowing like a river across the farm fields. There's standing water along lots of roads too. Still better than 4" of ice everywhere, and snow banks too high to see over!

    integrity in the service department

I'm aging myself with this statement, but the good old days we not all that good when it came to servicing cars. My now 6 year old truck ( 2011 F150 4x4 KR) has needed zero work except the regular oil changes, wiper blades, and new tires. Regular service wear items, that any vehicle needs...

    Snowblower will not lift

What model do you have? I keep the connections written down for winter, as they are different from the FEL controls. Funny, I just took mine off and put the FEL back in place
