    Other Orange Springtime purchases

Oh man, what I would give ( if I had it) for a new Tig welder. Plasma cutter too!

I unfortunately " loaned" my Stihl 029, with 20" bar, to a friend years ago. Unfortunately they went thru a divorce, and he disappeared without so much as a how do you do! I will guarantee this one will never get loaned!

    Glue for mailbox?

They make a 5 minute Epoxy, that is similar to JB Weld. Scuff it up with an aggressive piece of sand paper first. Is it possible to attach a magnet to the upper inside of the mailbox so when the door gets closed, there is some extra help to hold the door in place?

    Other Orange Springtime purchases

[ATTA With the talk about all the tractor and power equipment commercials, I happily made the mistake of heading down to the local ( well a few towns away) Stihl Chainsaw dealer. WOW, yeah I was impressed! So I ended up with a wonderful new Stihl. MS 261 C-M, 20" bar,( not a huge saw, but...

    Kioti commericals

Re: Koiti commericals Guess I live in the " Tractor Belt" as there are tractor, mower and chainsaw commercials constantly on the radio and TV.

Screw drive/cone log splitter/ making it safer

Re: Screw drive/cone log splitter It was a stick shift ( so is the current one) so idle was set at 600 or so. The biggest problem is rounds that aren't clear, I.E. knots etc make them harder to split clean. When I tried using the " Montana barstool" I was splitting pine for the outdoor fire...

Screw drive/cone log splitter/ making it safer

Re: Screw drive/cone log splitter I used to have one of those, had a Model T truck bolt pattern ( 5x5 1/2). I tried it on my Bronco, and will never use one again! It was set up to drive your truck out to the woods, take a rear tire off, put on the "unit" ( it was called a "Montana Barstool"...

    New BX owner

Here's a narrow trench bucket. It should be an easy dig over your ( what looks like ) 12" bucket

Rear wheel spacers and a skid plate come to mind as something to get right away also.

BX25D: Need advice to finish chainsaw mount (Success!)

Re: BX25D: Need advice to finish chainsaw mount Unfortunately, I need to build something like this too. I'm thinking about using the plastic chainsaw sheath, and making a slip in holster with a small plate to rest the base on

    -20 windshield washer fluid

So why do they put this stuff on sale in the Spring? The manager told me folks won't buy the winter windshield washer fluid, except in the winter!!! This must be evidence of the effectiveness of advertising on the human mind, at least in America where we have way more discretionary income then...

Land Pride Quality Not Up To Par

I was just out looking at my Grapple ( same one Land Pride on my BX) I'll keep checking the welds, and surrounding areas. So far looks great still, and I have been hauling trees out of the woods burning slash piles etc. They have a good name as implements go, but it only takes a few bad quality...

Started cutting firewood already, between rain storms

I don't think I would have ordered the load of logs if I didn't have a Grapple. With it I can get the logs right next to the wood shed to cut and split. I only have to bend down to pick up the rounds once, when I put them on the splitter, which I position inside the wood shed as close as I can...

Back Hoe - roll around carriage

That's the way to do it, keep it movable so it's not in the way! You can even lift the stiff legs up and tie them up to have a smaller footprint

Started cutting firewood already, between rain storms

I just cut and split another cord or so today. Grapple a log onto the Sawbuck, and hold one in the Grapple, cut them down, go get two more, etc. I cut as close to the wood shed as I can, then back the log splitter between the shed and the pile, split and push the pieces in the shed. Not a nice...

Started cutting firewood already, between rain storms

No problem, it just started snowing here again! Not too much, and it's melting off fast, but come on now! I want some sunshine! Not gonna get anything cut in this weather

    Sub-Soiler / Wire Layer

28972 I would most definitely pull behind you instead of push it, especially if someone will be walking along feeding cable as you go. If something happens, you will drive away from the other person, instead of over them if they stumble or?? I picked up one of these attachments for my backhoe...

Started cutting firewood already, between rain storms

I don't understand the mentality of many young adults and teens in current generations. My brother and I both delivered newspapers, phone books, mowed lawns, trimmed bushed, boxed and moved folks, etc. We were go getters, trying to make some cash for a new BB gun, bike, whatever. When I was old...

    New here

Nice tractor with some good implements . You can go online and copy the service interval schedule. Grease it good, but it sounds like he took very good care of it. I would get a dedicated pole barn, or shop space to keep it in as it's a good looking tractor and the NY Esther will " help it age"...
