You are correct. Should have said "That is how they TRY to keep folks from killing themselves".
In the short time I have been on this forum it is amazing how many people do not read the manual. Heck there was a guy last week that didn't know where the throttle was or how to get the tractor to...
I know that we see a lot of problems trying (successfully) to be solved on here so I wanted to update folks on my 12 year old Bush Hog 286 problem I had and the final solution.
I needed to change my blades and so I hit youtube. Very good videos and watched most all of them to get hints...
I do have both 4WD and FEL. I have never noticed any problems picking it up, although I really never do, but it is quite heavy. Put new blades on and cuts like my BH finish mower, just not as low.
I do not see anything in that photo that would give any of your choices a problem. If the whole area is the same you can go with any of them. I routinely do my 8 acres with my L4400 (37.5 PTO) and a 6 foot Bush Hog 286 in about 2.5-3 hours. Now I keep it cut very short, as it is part of my...

No hammer, hatchet, axe, lube or mallet needed. :)
I'm in Alabama and BIGO is absolutely correct. I'm sure you could cut it fine with the above suggestions but it will return thicker and mad.
I'd spray it dead. Depending on your location and land permitting burn it once dead. If burning is not possible (safe) then I'd come back over it with...
I find these helpful. Not so much to cover the zerk fitting, as most just hang open, but to easily identify all points to grease. I add them to my implements as well. May work well for you.

Okay I purchased this tractor about a year ago, used. When I brought it home I changed the oil...along with a lot of other things. I purchased the oil from the dealer And didnt think anything about it. I just changed again today and here is my question.
I knew I had some left over Kubota oil I...
