    I agree. In fact the one I purchased on Amazon (Bosch) had the ranges of "Empty - 240 ohms; 1/2 - 130 ohms; Full - 33 ohm", which seems to be standard. I hooked it up outside the tank and moved the arm up and down...with the arm in the FULL position the gauge showed about half way between...

    No problem. Probably right on the difference between generic and OEM. However, the generic ones are about $15-$20 on Amz and the OEM is about $98. The generic one will read empty probably around with an eighth of a tank.

    I'm sure you know this but if the tractor is stopped with the PTO engaged it will not start until it has been disengaged. From your description of the problem this could be the issue.

    You are correct. I had it opposite of what it was and checked again last night. Open=empty, closed=full. I ordered a generic Bosch sending unit on Amazon for $16.00 (used, like new) and will see if it works. If not, may bite the bullet and spend the $90.00 for the Kubota one
