MX6000 Grapple and Third Function kit

Good news your MX can easily handle a large twin lid grapple in the 500lb range, You have a lot of choice in the marketplace. As far as third function installation, the answer depends on your skill level, time and budget. My recommendation is to get the dealer to do the installation, it will...

    WTB - R1 Ag Wheel & Tire Set to fit L2501 / L3301 / L3901

I ended up ordering a set of Ag wheels and tires for my L3901 from a dealer, they were $1,800 with loaded rears, that did not seem too bad as someone about an hour away had a set on craigslist with 500 hours use and they wanted the same price. Should be fun changing out the tires, it will be a...

Securing BX TLB to a trailer

Irrespective of any transport laws I think a lowered bucket and arm properly secured are always a better option than not having it lowered and secured. People talk a lot about number of chains, size of chains, chains v's straps and strap capacity. I'm always looking to avoid a problem and like...

    MX5400 or MX6000?

As an owner of both L and MX series I think both have their place, If I had to have just one it would be the MX as the front end loaders on the L will just not meet my needs. If I was making a choice between the MX5400 and MX6000 I would always go bigger, I understand the price jump is not huge...

    Front 3PT

SSQA plates may be a standard but they are used by both compact tractors and skid steers / track loaders. The tractor FEL is a very different thing that the front lift arms on a track loader. Most implements are sized specifically for tractor or track loader use. There are many hydraulic powered...

    Front 3PT

I was also about to comment on the front SSQA 3 pt adaptor plates, these are for use on skid steers not tractors. While it may fit on your tractor I would not suggest you mount a 500lb rear snow blower to your loader even if you could figure out how to run it. For a L3301 I think you will end...

    Stump bucket titan or cri

I’m assuming you are looking at the lighter weight unit 150 lbs? I think they can be a very useful attachment but as you already realize you could potentially over stress your loader. I purchased The HD version from Titan some years ago, it weighs about 500 lbs, I used it initially on my...

    WTB - R1 Ag Wheel & Tire Set to fit L2501 / L3301 / L3901

Thanks for the reply, yes MS is a little far. I just got a price for a new set of wheels and tires from one of my dealers, with rears loaded it was just under $1800, someone is selling a used set locally and is asking more money. I think I will just buy new.

    Stump buckets

I have the heavier one, when I first purchased it I used it on my MX5800, it worked ok. I later purchased a track loader, that is what these heavy units are made for, it is a serious tool on a track loader. I would never mount the heavy version on my L series, it’s just too heavy and I would...

    new kubota b2301 owner operator

Not sure what jobs you have for your tractor but apart from a ballast box I would say a set of forks is an invaluable asset. I strongly recommend 42" long forks on a width adjustable frame, UA make some nice forks. Do not buy non adjustable forks. The great thing about a tractor is that there...

Wiring in Light on the back

Have not seen that connector block before. I suggest either Check the output voltage with a meter or insert the wires to your light, it should work with tractor running. remove connector block then use heat shield butt joints or other automotive type connectors such as spade or bullet ends.

    First Kubota for big guy!

There are lots of grapple manufacturers and sellers, Everthing Attachments, Varig, Loflin, MTL Attachments. The MX has a very capable loader and will handle a 60”-66” wide 500lb - 600lb grapple with ease. You will need the dealer to fit a third function kit to use a grapple, remember loaded rear...

Wiring in Light on the back

I'd use heat shrink butt connectors and just remove the ones on the tractor. Alternatively buy matching connectors from your local automotive store. I purchased a couple of $10 connector kits on Amazon, it's amazing how often I go back to those kits. I need to shoot more critters to stop them...

Wiring in Light on the back

I have rear work light that the dealer fitted to my L series, it is connected directly to the feed wires under the rear left fender, someone above says it is a 10 Amp circuit, take a look at how many watts your light bar needs, I see a lot that are under 60W. If it was under 60W / 75W I would...

    Bison rear blade

I see that Bison makes a range of rear blades, there was some criticism of their lighter models, the NVH as the 3 point mount frame was just flat strip, concern was bending. The heavier models have box section frames at the 3pt, which look sufficient. From the weight you are quoting you must be...

5 ton excavator at high altitude (KX057 or U48)

Congrats on the new machine, I have one too and love what it can do, I just purchased a 44” hydraulic tilt bucket made by Mongo for mine and have a lot of new forest track construction in the spring. Good luck with it.

    First Kubota for big guy!

I’d second the MX5400, if you are dragging out trees it has a lot of capability and it will run a 6’ heavy duty brush cutter really well. I see a grapple in your future, they are so useful with tree work.

    What canopy for L3940

I do a lot of woodland work on my tractors and was not sure a sunshade would survive long so I purchased a lower cost model. All States Ag Parts Parts A.S.A.P. Tuff Top Tractor Canopy for ROPS 48" X 52" - Orange It has done amazingly well and works great on my L series. Not sure it will work...

    Bison rear blade

I would not worry about it being too much blade for your tractor, your MX will handle it just fine, the weight of the blade should really help the blade work well. Sorry I do not have any experience with this brand but I do pull a large heavy box blade of a similar weightwith my MX which...

    Grapples?

You have a lot of choice in grapples for your Mx, I also run an MX with a large 600lb grapple 60 wide. The EA wicked grapples are great quality and are a good option for smaller tractors, they are expensive.there are many options from Vernig, Loflin or MTL attachments. If I was buying another...
