Lifting animals with antlers with a loader

A 60” tree boom comes with a quick attach loader plate and will do a fine job of making your loader suitable for any type of deer. I’ve used my front bucket before to save on a lot of dragging, just role the deer body in with legs sticking out. No point in killing yourself too in the hunting...

    WoodMaxx emailed me today....

Your chipper will eat those sub 3” several at a time. It’s nice as it has an adjustable infeed rate. please tell us what you think about your new WoodMaxx WM 8 H.

A new loader Bucket for a B-7800 with pins

I believe your loader is a LA-402, i would visit a local dealer to find out your options, not sure how standard pin on loader mounts are with current loader models.

    Stationary pto switch not working

If I remember correctly here is the stationary pto procedure I use. Try engaging brake, select Neutral , flip seat forward and then engage pto button, this is the procedure I use for my L and MX series.

Need suggestions on removing PTO shaft

If the pto shaft is too short I would consider adding something like an over run clutch adapter which are much cheaper than a new pto shaft.

    WoodMaxx emailed me today....

Let us know how you like your new chipper once you have given it a little use. The twin hydraulic infeed driven system is the most important feature in my opinion. Good luck with your new equipment.

Bar chain oil or WD-40 Gell Lube

I'm another bar and chain oil guy for things like my snowblower chains and sprokets. I've never tried the WD40 Gel though so cannot comment. Seems like I have far too many spray cans of different stuff. I've always got a good stock of bar and chain oil to support my many chain saws, so have no...

    MX with SA20 auger performance

The Digga product range includes an agricultural range which has hydraulic motors with a much more narrow range when compared with the SA20, this will give you the ability to match the auger performance much better to your tractor. The typical low hydraulic flow rate on the tractor will only...

    Lubing PTO cable and linkage

My L3901 suffers with the pto engagement shaft not moving as freely as it should, I find myself paying special attention to keeping the cable, spring, shaft assembly all lubricated. Maybe there should be a stronger spring on this assembly to disengage the pto. I spend my time under the tractor...

    MX with SA20 auger performance

I use a pto driven auger with great success, I know some tractor owners have used their front loader for a hydraulic auger but I have to believe that performance is moderate at best. I have a high flow track loader, when I try to use attachments in normal flow mode they are at best 25%...

Land Pride snow blower SB1574 shearbolt sprocket hub question.

Sounds like good advice from RCW, I would recommend going the full way and disassembling things fully so you can clean both the shaft and sprocket where the shear pin connects them. Then I would reassemble and grease things well. I would mount the blower to your tractor and run it with no shear...

    50 hour maintenance?

Remember to check the front axle fluid level while you are doing that service. The only issue I have had with my L3901 has been a sticky PTO cable / lever, it's good to lube the cable and lower mechanism.

    Hydraulic Top Link L3301

Last year I purchased a hydraulic toplink for my L3901, this will be the same for your L3301, here is what I purchased, it worked out great and was not expensive. https://www.agristoreusa.com/collections/category-1-hydraulic-top-links/products/category-1-hydraulic-top-link-20-7-8-31-7-8...

    Which oil 10w-30 or 15w-40?

I think the warranty question is a great question, why use a grade of oil that is not recommended by the manufacturer. I have not deviated from the recommended 10W-30 for cold climate use. I did recently make my first warranty claim for an engine failure on a car, it was not a simple task, my...

    UNIFOREST SKIDDING WINCH 35M

I use a Farmi skidding winch of a similar specification on the back of my MX5800. I would not dream of mounting to my L series, so yes your B2650 is just too light. the smaller stuff you mention you can drag out with a chain. Problem with the skidding winch comes when something snags, it can...

    Bush hog for mx6000

Another vote for Woods BB720 although they have recently changed their product numbering. Woods have improved the blade changing, take a look at their product info online. I like chains front and rear.

Wallenstein vs Woodland Mills Wood Chipper

WoodMaxx MX 9900, USA made, great machine and great service and support from WoodMaxx. The double variable speed hydro infeed is awesome and allows you to run this beast at a rate to suit all sizes and types of material. Wallenstein make good forestry equipment but are often much more...

Strange sound from Rotary cutter RCR1860

It’s good to reset slip clutches every year. I had an old slip clutch on a used Woods BB720X cutter, my son was doing some woodland clearing mowing with it on the back of my MX5800, he hit a stump in dense cover and in several seconds a new 75HP gearbox and new PTO shaft was required! Luckily no...
