The "search this forum" tab does not work for me. I'm trying to find how to fix a leaking seal on the 3301power steering. Seal is on the main shaft which outputs to the tie rods. Looks like remove a big nut then use a puller to remove tie rod connector from splined shaft. Pop out seal and...
Thanks for all the information and suggestions. I usually warm tractor in the shed. Recently I start and roll forward about 40 feet then allow warm up. That's when I noticed the slight engine hesitation if I push to hard in the HST pedal. Running summer diesel but have added power service. Seat...
I own a l3301 with the HST transmission. When the transmission oil is cold (25 degrees) the engine tries to stall if you don't give it warm up time. Is this stalling caused by a safety switch or just cold oil?
Last year's snow fall was so intense I bought a L3301 and a 60" snowblower. They say 25 hp for a 60" blower. Any less hp you just have to slow down. One foot of dry snow blows about 30 feet. I almost always have wet snow to blow. Blows wet snow 10 - 20 feet. Get on it early as possible start...
Thanks for the information and comments. I was pretty sure that locking down the diff lever was something a person should not do. Diff works like a limited slip on cars. Great idea using a lighter spring. I only used diff lock several times last winter anyway.
The dominant rear drive wheel on Kubota tractors must be the right one. Standing on the diff lock petal with the left foot locks in the left side. Since this isn't real convenient could I block the diff petal down for snow removal?
I would like to use rear tire chains for snow on my l3301. I only have 1" of clearance between the tire and fender metal. Has anyone tried chains on this model?
Thanks!
Thanks everybody for all the good information. My filter housing does not have the aluminium foil on it. So I need to look into getting a upgraded system.
I don't know if my tractor has the cold weather update. I bought it used. Dealer service dept didn't offer much information. I would think that running the serial number would provide that information.
How likely is it that a Kubota engine will run away? I've heard the oil seperator filter can get condensation and freeze causeing a engine run away. Just wondering.
Thanks,
Doug
I built a ballast barrel. A 30 gallon plastic barrel with five 90 lb bags of sackcrete. Added a 3" ABS pipe for tool holder way cool! Low center of gravity. I'm not packing extra weight like beet juice when I have to go out on soft, wet pasture.
