The dominant rear drive wheel on Kubota tractors must be the right one. Standing on the diff lock petal with the left foot locks in the left side. Since this isn't real convenient could I block the diff petal down for snow removal?

Study up on differentials

There is no "dominant side", Only sides with more or less resistance to motion.

The side the pedal is on? Nah.....

Like teg said, NO you can not lock the differential pedal down.
It will do damage to the tractor.
I use my L3450 to move snow all winter long and only occasionally ever need to engage the diff lock to keep things going the right direction. ;)

The spring they use is very heavy making it hard for smaller-lighter people to hold the lever down without standing up. A few of us replaced the factory one with a lighter one making it much easier to use.

Ain't that the truth! In over 20 years the only tractor related injury I have sustained was a wrenched back using the dif lock on my first tractor (B8200).

Lol, not funny I know but that cracked me up. The spring is very easy to swap out , just get someone to move the lever for you while you look to see where the spring is. Just make sure you replace it with another lighter spring

Thanks for the information and comments. I was pretty sure that locking down the diff lever was something a person should not do. Diff works like a limited slip on cars. Great idea using a lighter spring. I only used diff lock several times last winter anyway.
