I suggest since you looked at all fuses to check for a faulty relay. Drive by wire systems are great until they fail. I'm glad my M7040 reverser is controlled by a shift cable.
I'll add are your tractors 3 pt draft link sway devices(chains or bars) snug not allowing draft links to move side to side when turning?? Side to side motion of draft links allows the draft links to get unlevel to a small degree due to changing angle of the lift links
I have a Dewalt grease gun. I like it but Dewalt could have performed better design when it applies to changing out the batteries. Batteries are difficult to swap for an older, weaker person.
I have liquid ballast & cast rear wheels on my M7040 & always add counterbalance of 750-1000#s on my tractors 3pt while handling several 1000's of rd bales.
Sounds as if bolt(item 130/270) in the interior end of axle is failing or not staying tight. Use of diff lock shouldn't have any affect on that bolt failure!!

Does lever move forward or remain in place when 3 pt hitch lowers?? If lever moves forward friction washers on lever are worn & need to be tightened.
Didn't your M4900 have a separate water separator housing that was designed to catch water prior to reaching inj pump? If a large amount of water is present in fuel tank I would think water separator bowl would require emptying very regularly if engine was operated very long.
IMHO there's a lot more involved to be a good wife than a woman being good looking/slim & young. I'll choose very good cooking abilities & easy to get along with over those items. My first slim, good looking wife could barely boil water so cooking good tasty food was out of the question. I also...
Before I purchased my Kubota M70401(64 pto hp) I operated my 6' King Kutter ll on a Cub Cadet 7360(29.5 pto hp) with no problems. I think 56 pto hp will handle a 7' rotary tiller just fine with tractor trans in lowest speed more especially on 2nd & after trips over the same area.
My M7040 fuel tank vent hose is located same as M7060 as mcmxi posted. Several yrs ago I had similar fuel problems with a M4900. I located at clogged orifice(tiny filter) in water separator housing blocking fuel delivery to inj pump.
I think Peter made a mistake on Tractordata. Only Kubota parts catalog I can locate for M8580 with cab has Synchro-shuttle not hyd shuttle. This parts catalog shows a dual speed hyd clutch that could be cause for slippage
I've never needed to repair my '11 Kubota M7040 AC but on my JD 4255 when I R&R compressor several yrs ago I just put required amount of oil in compressor only then installed refrigerant & AC system cooled very good.

Sounds similar to a Kubota M4900DT I owned many yrs ago. My M4900 got locked in reverse & I had to have tractor split & manual shift reverser replaced.
