    L3800 Pulling power

Same way I use mine except I do a bunch of Snow removal on the road during winter.. My AG tires do well for all that in fact I haven't need to even chain up yet for snow.. When I do have to drive on the lawn (Today) I simply slip it into 2x4 and make sure I turn the front wheels while moving if...

    L3800 Pulling power

My L3600 will pull a double 14 bottom plow, but much depends on the soil conditions... The difference in the L3800 and L3600 is only a couple of HP and about 300 lbs The link shows a Row Hipper with the plastic layer attachment, is that what your planning on pulling after the Bottom Plows ...

    Bucket Pallet Forks

This is my Primary function for this set up, when I limb the trees around the property I can just toss them on here and move them easily.. I was stretching a logging chain out across the ground then carefully stacking up the pile, wrapping the chain around the pile while basically laying on it...

    L3600 Full Maintenance Rundown

So I learned something new today, after I mixed the Prestone at 50/50 to refill the radiator and the overflow, I was now sure that the old mix was more than 50/50.. I start reading the Prestone label and learned that 50/50 is no longer the Max protection, you can actually mix it at 70/30 to...

    Bucket Pallet Forks

The new Forks are on Tried them out on three different loads.. First was my box blade a Bush Hog SBX600 that weighs in at just #500 lifted that with no issues and no blade on the back :) Next I tried a bunch of very long downed tres which took a bit of figuring out, I had to shift the point...

    L3600 Full Maintenance Rundown

Drained the Radiator and the Reserve tank, refilled with Clear, Distilled, water and running the tractor up to Temp right now.. The fluid that drained out looked and felt too pure, seemed to be well over 50/50, probably should have tested it.. Will see what I think after I mix the new stuff...

    L3600 Full Maintenance Rundown

So far so good, the bolts were not quite the sizes that I was expecting but I had wrenchs to fit luckly.. Seems the manual is a bit optimistic on how small my hands are :) because I am going to have to remove a bottom panle to get to the Fuel Filter, have to remember to always do the Oil and...

    Bucket Pallet Forks

Eric I have read that warning at least 20 times since I started looking at the forks... I have also done multiple searches for a pic of a bent bucket, caused by clamp on forks, I haven't been able to find a pic yet, or even an actual post where somebody said it happened.. I have found a few...

Ideas sought for raising a huge...

What would you estimate the weight at vs what can your FEL do Keep in mind you only have to tilt it NOT lift it. I just moved one of my 10 year projects that I had "Overbuilt" but luckily the slab weighed #600 and the FEL can do #1500 Once I got it tilted up I chained it up and lifted it...

    L3600 Full Maintenance Rundown

Well finally got to start this project, got the engine oil and the Transmission done. Air Filter of course took seconds, going to tackle the Fuel Filter, and Front axle tomorrow morning if the weather works with me.. Need to drain the radiator, but I have to really take a look and see how that...

using a forklift for something it wasn't designed for

I just ordered some Clamp on forks with Chain tighteners as a back up.. I ordered the #4000 set because my FEL is rated at #1500.. Most of what I will be doing is moving downed trees.. Although of course for the last 2 days I have been building a stone wall asnd sure could have used a set of...

    L3600 Full Maintenance Rundown

I could find WIX filters, but after shipping they were running slightly more then the Kubota.. The local O'Rielly's stocks WIX but I have to double check the numbers myself to see if they might have them, the Oil Filter is a probability, everything else doubtful...I will check on the Donaldson...

    L3600 Full Maintenance Rundown

Reading the manual was an effort in futility when it came to the Trans and the Axle.. Basically it says use whatever :) It recommends SUDT for both, but trying to find actual SUDT was a nightmare, I would have had to drive 250 miles to get 10 gals then been left a few gals short for both...
