Has anyone used an actual Brushgrubber

Yeah I figured, I am pretty much stuck getting on and off and crawling down around the roots unless I add something with "Teeth" This has Teeth :) Of course I have to convince the wife LOL It might actually be worth buying it, making the payments for a year doing all the...

Has anyone used an actual Brushgrubber

I am pretty sure of the answer here but I figured I would ask I have been cleaning up around the property clearing out under the trees and around the outbuildings.. I have been just using a heavy logging chain to yank out small trees and brush. Now keep in mind I am working alone so it is up...

    L3200/L3800 FEL Hooks (LA524)

I really like these ideas, the previous owner welded on a loop in the center of my bucket and everything went wrong. from bending the top to burning the steel and paint :( I think I am going to use these ideas for the outside lift arm attachments and perhaps change the center one and try and...

BrushHog - How Big for L3800HST?

There is a train of thought that if you are cutting through actual Brush that has anything in the 1 inch or larger diameter in there, that a "sharp" edge on the blade can be very bad for your tires.. Basically a sharp blade leaves neatly sheared spikes in the ground where a dull blade leaves...

    L3800HST Stump Grinder?

If you are planning on using your Tractor for Ground Prep, ie: Plowing, Tilling, Discs etc: Grinding will do no good, those trees have to come completely out, stumps and root balls.. I am doing the same to 1 acre of mine this summer, I hired a guy with a Trackhoe to pull the trees and stumps...

    Filter/Fluid change on L3130

You need to recheck all the levels after about 10 hours, they tend to go down as the oil finds air pockets and fills them.. This is especially true of the front axel if you changed it this time..

    Which Kubota to buy?

Looks like you have done your research.. Something I have learned in the last year is the only advice I can give you, Buy the biggest heaviest tractor that fits your budget, and fits inside the area that you need to work.. Having had a smaller L185 and then moving to a much larger L3600 the...

    More Lights, for the L3600

If you look close on mine and on bcbulls you will note that neither of us drilled into the ROPS steel, we both mounted the lights on a plate that was mounted using clamps, to the ROPS.. My thinking is that the ROPS might have to save my dumb A$$ someday and I did not want to possibly weaken it...

want to purchase attatchments. how big do i go??

Those older L series are pretty heavy tractors for their HP, the 245DT is 2300+ lbs without an FEL Compare that to a 24 hp B or BX and the weight difference is substantial. The 185DT I had could handle the 60 inch implements size wise and weight wise but the PTO power was questionable for me...

Working the FEL and the Box Blade

Overall the FEL did the most work, I probably could have done the whole job with just using that... The Box Blade did make leveling pretty simple though, I used the FEL to place piles of rock evenly throughout the barn.. After that I dragged the piles out pretty evenly with the BB.. then final...

Working the FEL and the Box Blade

Did some heavy work finally on this tractor.. Spreading the gravel was actually pretty easy, with the combination of the FEL and the Box Blade... Although regardless of how good you think you are sooner or later you have to climb down out of that seat and rake in some of the rock LOL Oh my...

Bradco compact or full size pallet fork on a L3800

I just added forks to my bucket http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10525 They really work well for what I am doing. I wish I could have put on the QA version as you can see better.. I am slowly getting used to these but picking up downed trees is not as easy as a grapple...
