    MMM blade bolt torque

I don't think the blade will slip as easily as the belt driven pulley. I torque mine 80 ft lb. I don't trust doing it with an impact gun or a grunt and a half.

    mower deck belt replacing

I just use my crow bar and push the idler back with that. Pretty easy to do and I do it every fall when I drop the deck. I suppose when installing a new never been stretched belt a helping hand would be appreciated.

    out of the blue

This probably don't have anything to do with your problem, but I was having stalling issues with my machine and traced it down to the seat safety switch. The switch had become corroded and not making good contact. I searched out every safety switch (I think), took them apart, cleaned the...

    Finally happened

It's a 2004 and I'm not sure SUDT2 was around then. I thought SUDT was the common one then.

    Finally happened

Well it's finally happened to my 2230 with 621hr, steering going out. It was fine until I had the tranny serviced and since then it's a "wandering child". Apparently SUDT2 is a lot thinner then the SUDT that was changed out, and is leaking past the seals in the steering cyl. Dealer should be...

    yellow diesel can

I went and bought the EZ pour replacement spout at my farm store and added one of the yellow vents to the back. Works like a charm, just like old times. For those of you who will be adding a vent to your can, I've found that a 1/2" step drill cuts the cleanest hole and curls the plastic chips...

    Been thinking about a Belarus

My friend went on a bison hunt, and said it was about as thrilling as shooting a suburban. Meat was great though. That pix of the tractor is amazing. I never thought one of those would hold up very long. I wonder what his secret is to keep it going?

Is it to much to ask for...?

I just look in the tank from time to time to see where it's at even though my gauge seems to work, and go from there.

BX Mid mower deck belt tension

I release mine every fall. I use a block of wood and a crowbar to jack the idler pulley enough to get the belt off the left blade drive pulley. . Sometimes it's easy, other times it's a pain, but I still do it.

    Crummy BX handle

You could have wiped a light film of oil on the bolt before screwing it into the insert too. That would have kept the threads clean

    *&!@^$&*#))_~))*!% mice

We've got a pair of Grey fox that are really good at keeping them in check. We don't have pets so they are a welcome site. We've had them hanging around for about 3 years now, and the mice & chipmunk problems we had have pretty much gone away.

Dealer told me don't load the tires...

I've never heard of anyone here using RV antifreeze. That stuff is environmentally friendly and on sale you can get it for under $3 a gal. On that note, I only use mine for grass & snowblower. I have turf tires unloaded and have never had a issue. Not sure why everyone says you need to load...
