Found this on the side of the road

I have to say the best thing I have found on the road was a Husky hard hat with ear muffs and face screen. Right in the middle of the road and I could see for at least 3 mi either direction----there was no one. I have used it religiously since then and if I'd not found it I'd probably never...

    Daylight saving time

I love DST. I'd rather have more afternoon daylight time then morning when I'm sleeping. Why do I want it bright @ 6:00am ?? I hate cooking a steak on the grill with my headlamp on in the evening...suks

    BX1850 HST, new to me

Think of your transmission single lever faucet. When on you can go from hot to cold just by moving the lever right or left. Pull down on the lever and water stops. Similar scenario with hystat. Push the pedal forward or backward and you get movement. Center is off. You have fluid drive now...

    Tree damage ?

As bad as it looks I'd take them out and replace them with healthy trees. Even if they do recover, it'll be years.

    Big Game Tags

Good for you but getting the tags is the easy part. :) I've been in a dry spell the last couple years for elk in Co and deer in WI. This fall I'm going back to Canada for another moose hunt. We'll see how that works out.;)

    Bx 22 drive issue

Be aware that if you pull the bolt/suction screen with the transmission full of fluid, all the tranny fluid will drain out unless you plug the hole.

    BX5450 snowblower

I did a dumb thing and left the alignment tab up when mating the blower to quick hitch. That in turn cut the plastic shaft guard in half on blower. Does anyone have the part # or correct name of the part.? It looks like it clips into the other half of guard.

    Interesting personal email from Kubota

Are you sure that serial # really means 21million units produced? If so, I never realized that there were that many BX tractors blowing snow. I find that had to rationalize.

    Interesting personal email from Kubota

Kubota does have a torque value for the shear bolts of 9' # or 108" #. I always torque mine and wonder how many others pay any attention to that spec?

    BX5455HD snowblower issues

I've always used Marine lower unit lube in my gear box. I also brush the snow off the vent when I'm done. I've never had a water problem.

    Ice Crystals in the Diesel

I've been lucky so far as to never have the ice crystal problem. But when I fill up and use the Mr Funnel, I'll set the funnel in an clean clear plastic instant coffee bottle to drip out. Then I'll dump the funnel sump into it and replace the lid & put it on a shelf. After a couple days I'll...

    Question about snowblower down-pressure

You have two skid shoes on the blower. That is what is going to dictate how the blower is going to ride on the snow. Down pressure normally will not help unless you can overcome the surface area of the shoes.

BX2670 w/BX5450 Snowblower - How about a few operating tips?

The way that works best for me is blower in float (I have blacktop also) and I spray the blower and chute with silicone before each use. One thing I've found that helps me a lot, is pull the machine out of garage (heated) and let the blower chill down while the tractor is warming up 10 to 15...
