    b8200 info

Edgar, right after I bought my Kubota(from an individual) in 2003, I want into the dealer and asked what year it was based the the serial # which I had in hand. They told me it was based on what year the tractor was sold. Mine was bought in the spring of 1998, making it a 98 model. However I...

    BX2200 Kabota winterizing

Use Irish Spring bar soap instead of dryer sheets. I tried the dryer sheet in our camper and still had mice. Put in the soap and they stayed away. I cut the soap in quarters - had to be the odor they put off.

Dusty, I wondered the same thing and decided it was some kind of light. Looks handy. Where did you pick it up? Just an observation in that I was looking the holes in your new grill and thought I would advise you to watch your temp gauge next summer just to make sure you're getting enough air...

How large rear mower can my tractor handle?

Just to give you something to compare, I run a 5' bushhog (1 large 60" blade) behing my L35 and a 6' finish mower (3 - 24" small lawn mower type blades). The 35 hp tractor runs either fine. But a 6' bushhog would be too much.

    my bota pushing snow

LRP, I have to echo what B7100hst-d said. We may see temps in the high 30's tonight, but supposed to warm back up in the 70's by this weekend. Thanks for the picture and I like to way you described those "honest horses" you have under the hood!

Dusty, Don't be-little yourself on "taking too much time". I am amazed at how quickly you've done all this repair, renewing, and repainting, let alone the fabbing. It takes me forever to do stuff like this. I first have to scratch my head then my ass and circle a few times before getting...

L2202 Dying Out on Incline Part 2

Re: couta Also, check the vent on your fuel tank. If it is stopped up, it won't allow fuel to flow properly and cause your engine to sputter and run poorly. Let us know what you find.

    Bleeding Front Loader Lines

OrangeFox, Ditto on what Dusty and ETRon said. There are a few Kubota Techs that participate, but most of us are tractor owners, some new, some from way back. Most us offer advice based on our own experiences and try like hell to never give bad advice. I don't resond to the inquiries that I...

Dumbest thing you've done in a shop

I done so many dumb things working in the shop and outside, I'm having trouble remembering them all. One of the most memorable was setting an expensive stack of sawn lumber on fire from an angle grinder. I nearly killed myself getting the fire put out.

Kubota L3300: Rear PTO Will Not Disengage

1dcorbin, thanks for the update. One way to check to see if the cable is the problem is to disconnect it from the lever that goes into the transmission and try to move that lever with you hand. I'm betting a cable is your problem. Good Luck and keep us posted.

Just a silly question about ballast boxes

Thanks! Always glad to get a compliment. I hope to get some time, sandblast it, then spray some paint on it.

    Bleeding Front Loader Lines

I changed all the hydraulic hoses on both my FEL & BH, plus purged the cylinders of non Kubota UDT oil. I didn't bleed anything after getting it back together. Everything is working fine. I'm sure there are cases where a line or cylinder has to be bled when put back in service. Maybe someone...
