Just a silly question about ballast boxes

L4750, that counterweight looks good. I'd never thought of that. Here is a couple of pictures of the one I made for my L35. I figure it weighs about 900 lbs. My helper only weighs in at 9 lbs, but her job is to catch any field mice or rats that might dash out when I move something.

    My Kubota keeps cutting out!!

Also check the vent for the fuel tank. If it is stopped up say by mud daubbers, fuel won't flow and starve the engine.

    Kubota L4310

ozzie, I'd look at the safety switches to see if you is shorted out due to the power washing you gave it. I had a Dodge Minivan that I gave a good power washing to and then it wouldn't start. After pulling my hair out, I towed it to the dealer and left it. A few days later they tried it and...

Kubota L3300: Rear PTO Will Not Disengage

1dcorbin, I'm not familar with the L3300 so I've got some basic questions. Has it ever done this before? Is the PTO disengaged/engaged with a cable? or with a lever/shaft into the transmission. Did you look to see if there was a stick or branch that might have wedged into the mechanism? If...

    A couple of guards (Fabricated)

Great Job! Now I'm torn between living next door to you or next to Dusty. I feel like I could learn a great deal from either of you. Thanks for posting the pictures and explaining what you did.

Reinstalled FEL - now it won't lift!

BellC, mine has that valve on it and I sure didn't think about it and pass it on to you. Thanks for letting us know what the problem was.

    L2550 GST 4WD/GST reliability

Milo, it has been awhile since I saw you on OTT. Good to have you back. I have the Glideshift on my 98 L35. I like it, mainly because I'm used to it. I also had it on an old L4250 (I think that was the model). You can shift between forward and reverse without using the clutch. I try to...

    L35 no power steering

Thanks. I would have pulled my hair out on that one and not thought to look at that. I guess that is a good reason to keep these Orange Beasts inside.

Dusty, I've never had to use that knob, and hope you don't either. I believe it is used to hand pump the lines with fuel to purge the air from the lines This is after you run it dry and put fuel back in your tank. If I'm wrong, maybe someone will correct me. ps: still wish I lived next door.

Reinstalled FEL - now it won't lift!

BELLC, Is the rockshaft on your 3pt working like it supposed to? To purge the air from the hyd. lines/cylinders, you only have to move the loader and bucket through it full range several times. I purposely removed all the oil from my lines and cylinders when I drained the fluid. It only took...

    L35 no power steering

dtruex, congratulations on finding and fixing your problem. And thanks for posting the pictures. I'll check there first if mine ever acts that way. By the way, what make you check there?

    L35 no power steering

dtruex, I have an L35 and so far the power steering works all the time. It does complain when I have the front bucket fully loaded with dirt or gravel. Please keep us posted - I'm very interested to find out what the problem was. Good Luck!

    Goose Neck Hitch

Eric, I build a home-made goose neck hitch of my family's 91 Ford 1-ton using scrap 1/2" plate and piece of 3" X 2" rect. tubing w/ 1/4" wall thickness. I welded the plate to the ends of the tubing and then bolted the plate to the frame rails. I cut a 12" square trap door in the bed of the...

Tranny Leak... From The Top! B7200HST

The loud knock noise could mean you have a wheel bearing that is failing. The added weight of the mower would cause the sound to be louder. As far as the leak, I had a leak on my Kubota that I swore was from O-rings that I thought had failed. I replace them only to find the leak was still...

Do you change out the coolant?

Also, modern antifreeze has inhibitors to cut down and/or prevent corrosion. This is because cooling systems have dissimilar metals the coolant runs through. Over time, these inhibitors dissipate and must be replaced. I try to change mine as recommended and not over 3 years. Good Luck!

    B2400 3pt issues

Sunbury, welcome to OTT! Glad you are here. Regarding your B2400 and its problem, I am not familiar with your model, but in general, have you changed the oil? Changed the filer or cleaned the screen, depending on which it has? A clogged screen or filter is a common cause of the problem you...

    kubota winter jewelry

I agree. Mayhem is a good description. I had to get out in it to come to work when we had ice last year. I was sure glad they had put sturdy guardrails on over passes because I watched a pickup that was going too fast above me doing donuts as he went across the bridge. He finally crashed...

    kubota winter jewelry

bikerdib, I was kidding of course about the tire chains and we do get snow and ice occasionally. Last year we got a record 14". The problem is that a lot of folks don't know how to drive on snow/ice. It makes for an interesting commute and it best to stay home. traildust, Alliance Airport...
