I thought I would inherit it......

It was nice to see a happy ending to this thread. Many items that have sentimental value to us are priceless. Congrats. I hope your dad knows what it means to you. I have an old rocking horse that my grandpa gave me when I was a kid. He passed on a few years later. It seems like just and old...

I put a set of 6 ply on the front of my B7100 with loader, last spring. They have served me well so far.

    Just an introduction

Welcome aboard! I have a 1977, B7100, 4wd, gear tractor. It is a beast for it's size. You will be very impressed with it. It is the little tractor that thinks it can....and most of the time it can.

    Thermosiphon system question

Thanks Guys!! Hokie, It does spit coolant out the tube if I fill it too much, but I would expect it to draw it back in, once it starts cooling down. Maybe with this system, it expels more coolant than a normal system and thus, is not able to draw it all back in. I have looked in the radiator...

    Thermosiphon system question

I added a coolant recovery bottle to my B7100 last summer, thinking that it would work like a conventional cooling system, where coolant would be drawn back into the radiator during cool down. That does not seem to be the case. The radiator will shed some coolant into the reserve tank, but it...

    Cooling system on B6000

Make sure the cooling fins and the screen in front of the radiator are clean of debris as well. The cooling system that this tractor uses is referred to as a thermosiphon type system and it seems to work quite well, if maintained properly.

    Propane Canon

From my experience, once they have been warned once about trespassing, then it is time to take a hard stance. You prosecute ALL repeat trespassers. The word will spread quite quickly. Also, get cameras set up on likely access points, but get them off of the ground, so they are harder to see and...

    Battery hooked up backward

I didn't like the idea of a black positive cable on my B7100. It just went against what most people think, including myself...black is negative, red is positive. I replaced my black cable with a red one, just to be safe. In all honesty, I figured someone replaced the original positive cable at...

    ATV drowning

Ya, I bury my ATV several times a year on our hunting land. Some work just has to get done...lol. The mud provides some incredible suction at times. I used to use a come-along to get out. I finally got smart a few years back and installed a winch. The hardest part is finding something to secure...

Rotary Cutter Too Big for B6100?

I run a 48" King Kutter rotary mower on my B7100 (16 hp) and it turns it just fine. I mow tall grass, willow brush and tag alders with it. You can try making smaller passes as well.

Thanks for sharing this incident and lesson. It may save someone else from a terrible accident. We all to often forget how dangerous tractors and equipment can be.

    Hour meter question

I purchased a cheapo on ebay for my B7100, since the factory hourmeter was not working when I purchased the tractor. I moved the hourmeter under the hood. I don't need to look at it all the time. I just use it for maintenance schedules. I then used the old dash gauge hole for a more important...

B7100 with B219 loader, filter plugging issues

I will have to take a look at the base for the plug. I replaced my low pressure line this spring. The new line is black inside/blue outside. The old line was orange on the outside, but I believe it was black inside. Maybe it deteriorated enough were some of the orange particles did get into the...
