Great idea on number 4! I have thought about doing that. I will add it to my list the next time I get the tractor to the shop for work.

Yes, it does pretty good job of knocking down the vegetation, plus it helps with the seed to soil contact with the new seed. I ended up making one out of a 4' piece of black corrugated culvert. Just filled with concrete, with a 1" bar for the axle.

In the soft soils on our hunting land, my main tool for small seed planting is a drag harrow. Spray to kill the vegetation. I have been using my B7100 with PTB just as you described. Works pretty darn well... This ditch is at least 2 feet deep. I do have some pretty soft soils to dig in though...but, I'm impressed!!

That is a possibility, but it vibrates and shutters both when lifting the bucket and also when tilting it up....basically when it is under a load. It is not loading the engine at all.
