B7100 with B219 loader, filter plugging issues

Great idea on number 4! I have thought about doing that. I will add it to my list the next time I get the tractor to the shop for work.

B7100 with B219 loader, filter plugging issues

It does not have the feel of rust. It is softer material. The particles are small enough, that it is hard to identify what they are, but they are not abrasive though.

B7100 with B219 loader, filter plugging issues

The inside of a hose coming apart did cross my mind. But, the old hoses and all the new ones that I put on do not match the color of the debris I am finding. The next time I have to take it apart to clean the screen, I will find something to dig around in the bottom corners of the reservoir tube...

B7100 with B219 loader, filter plugging issues

This loader has the reservoir built into the RH tower tubing. The vent/breather is at the top, the pickup line with filter/screen is near the bottom. I have been working the loader pretty hard while digging some ditches. I keep plugging up the filter/screen with debris. I can't figure out what...

    game plot

Sorry for the delay in my response. Very busy traveling last week. I believe I used 12" diameter culvert material, approx. 48" long. The end caps are 3/4" treated plywood. The axles is 1" steel rod. I cut a 1" hole in the center of both end caps, then installed the one end cap with screws. I...

    game plot

Yes, it does pretty good job of knocking down the vegetation, plus it helps with the seed to soil contact with the new seed. I ended up making one out of a 4' piece of black corrugated culvert. Just filled with concrete, with a 1" bar for the axle.

In the soft soils on our hunting land, my main tool for small seed planting is a drag harrow. Spray to kill the vegetation. Wait a few weeks, fertilize, broadcast seed, drag it with the harrow a few times, then cultipack. Make sure you seed before you knock the vegetation over. This will get you...

Hokie, never underestimate the impact you have on a young person's life. They might not realize it until they get older, but they will.....;)

    Piranha Tooth bar videos?

I have been using my B7100 with PTB just as you described. Works pretty darn well... This ditch is at least 2 feet deep. I do have some pretty soft soils to dig in though...but, I'm impressed!!

Good help is hard to find

Actually, it is a trade school, but they call it college these days, a technical college....lol. His first semester is just under $2500. I put away money each month for both of my boys since they were very small. A small amount over 15-18 years adds up. I am happy that he is putting it to use...

Good help is hard to find

Daren, hats off to you! No one said tough love is easy, but it is definitely tough to do!!. We had a similar experience with our youngest who is now 18 and moved out. It all started when he was 14. We tried everything with him. Spent many a restless night wondering if he was coming home, or if...

    Did I do good? 1st tractor, B6100.

For that price, I think you did fine. It looks in good condition. Those older B series tractors are real work horses and built like tanks. I have a 1977, B7100 with a FEL and I have been really impressed with it. I bought it last winter and started using it this year. You will have a lot of fun...

    B219 FEL issues

I wonder if I am working the loader too much and the hydraulic fluid is getting too warm. This old set up does not have a cooler on it. The reservoir is in the right hand tower. Anyone have any experience to how a pump reacts to hydraulic fluid that is very hot? I guess I can see how it...

    B219 FEL issues

That is a possibility, but it vibrates and shutters both when lifting the bucket and also when tilting it up....basically when it is under a load. It is not loading the engine at all. With it vibrating in both situations, I would think both rams would need to be bent. I think the chances of that...

    B219 FEL issues

Hey T! I went through the tractor front to back this spring, after purchase. All filters where changed or cleaned and all fluids where changed.

    B219 FEL issues

1977, B7100, gear drive, with B219 FEL. This tractor has the front mounted pump that runs the FEL. I have been using it to dig ditches. Today I noticed after about an hour of use, the hydraulics seem to get louder while working the FEL. I notice that the raise and tilt back feature was much...

    B7100 FEL bucket size

My tractor is up at the cottage, but I am pretty sure the bucket width is right around 48" or slightly over.

Tooth Bar Review (BXPanded - Piranha)

I had a chance to use mine for the first time today...digging ditches. It worked great. I angled it a bit forward, lowered the bucket all the way, so the front tires were off the ground, drove forward until the front tires were back on the ground, curled, then raised the bucket, dump and repeat...
