    Food plots.

I have had great luck with a brassica mix, such as rape and turnips. Adding some winter rye closer to fall works great as well. The nice thing about these types of seeds, they don't take much to germinate, so a lot of soil prep is not needed. Just spray the existing vegetation, get some bare...

    B7100 mystery wires

I think I have seen those on my B7100 as well. I will look again tomorrow when I use it. Might be worth hooking the wires to a meter to see if they are hot under different conditions. Like mentioned, might be wires for some brake lights.

    B7100 Temp. Gauge

If that gauge is accurate, you seem to be running a tad bit warm. I would make sure your screen and radiator fins are clean. Don't just inspect them, but get in there with the air compressor to blow the fins out good, after you remove the screen. Mine runs at about 180 degrees at idle, 210...

    second gear noise

I know on my B7100, 2nd gear whines a little, compared to other gears. I have been told that can be expected, since 2nd gear is the most popular gear for the speed it produces. I think this same gear is shared with reverse and the PTO as well, so it gets more use than the other gears, so more wear.

    All Good Things.........

I'm so sorry to hear about this. I feel for you as I know exactly what you are feeling. There are so many memories and traditions that been shared over the years. It seems like some of life's most valued and cherished memories, involve the outdoors with loved ones. Most of our younger generation...

    B7100 Temp. Gauge

I added both an oil pressure gauge and a temp gauge. My hourmeter was bad, so I yanked it and added an oil gauge to that opening. Who needs to constantly monitor the hourmeter anyway. I just use it for my maintenance schedule. I installed a new one (different style) under the hood instead. I...

Anyone here have a King Kutter Professional rotary mower with flex hitch?

I have a KK with the flex hitch. I have had it for several years now. I have nothing to compare it to though, as it is the only rough cut mower I have owned (besides a Case Hydracutter). No issues with the KK so far. It does what it is supposed to. I have very rough and uneven ground. The flex...

    B8200 differential lock?

I believe the differential lock is to be used occasionally, when needed for extra traction. I don't think it is intended to be locked all of the time. It is very difficult to get the tractor to turn, with the rear differential locked. I only engage mine when I need a little extra traction.

    Winter brush hogging

I do most of my brush cutting in the winter, mainly because my hunting land is often wet and I have to wait for it to freeze up. But there are other benefits as well, better visibility, less vegetation to deal with.

    BKT tires ?

I have a pair on the front of my Case 444 garden tractor. I have had them for 3-4 years now. Besides a slow leak issue with one of them (I'm sure it is the bead), the tires have been just fine.

Sub zero weather B7100 hydro leak

I've noticed the same thing on my B7100, in terms of a small a small coolant leak at one of the hose fittings. Only leaks when it is in the shed, during extremely cold temps. I have had to tighten the clamp a little the lasts 2 winters to stop the leak. My guess is the leak will disappear when...

    B7100 rear axle hubs

I have found some other pics as well. It appears it is just the 2 bolts that contact the axle.

    B7100 rear axle hubs

I have read quite a bit on the various old style rear axle hub fixes. I see they sell replacement hubs for $140-$160 each, which is a little steep for my blood. I ran across these on...

To Ballast or not to Ballast-That is The Question

I have 250 lbs of wheel weights that I use on the back wheels of my B7100. I have to remove the weights once in a while. It makes a big difference, traction wise, with and without them. Night and day difference. You will be much happier and the tractor will be much more capable with some...

I took it to the dealer on Saturday morning.I just don't have the time to mess with it. I figured I would let the "professionals" tackle it. Still waiting to hear from them on what they found.
