Looks like a great tractor and set up! You will have a lot of fun and get a lot of work done. The B7100 is a very capable tractor for its size. You have a similar set up to me, but I have a B219 loader and gear drive.

I've got a B7100, 4wd with R1 tires on it and I have been very impressed with what I can pull with it. I have been able to pull my tower stands around with it, plus pull them up, once in position.

Could this be something as simple as the fuel cap vent being plugged?

Thanks everyone! That helps. I just read another interesting thread about fully threaded vs. non threaded bolts and their strengths...with threaded bolts shearing easier. I may just try to find grade 2, fully threaded bolts to use instead of the standard style bolt. I'd feel better if I sheared...

But, when a shear bolt shears, doesn't it shear at the 2 ends (just inside the bolt head and just inside the nut), vs. in the middle? Would a cut around the middle help me here?

Is there a filter in the system that could be partially plugged? I have had this happen with my FEL, but it sounds like your system is different.

Follow the manual page that was posted (4" below). l have run mine at a higher level...it makes a mess all over when it comes out the breather.

I've owned my 1977, B7100 for several years now. I am amazed at what this little tractor can do and how it has held up over the years. It starts right up, even in the winter, doesn't leak a drop of anything. It has been one of my wiser purchases.

I ordered a complete seat from Messicks a few years back. Attached is what they sent me. My tractor is up by my cottage. I will be up there this weekend, if you want me to look at anything closer.
