BX2200 losing power, almost stalling - FIXED!!

I was pleasantly pleased when I bought my BX2200 to find out that it DID NOT have a safety switch on the seat. I would have by-passed it anyways, but these are diesel tractors. I don't need to stress the engine from restarts all the time. Glad you got yours fixed.

Shear pin Woes on Grass Catcher

Something has to be out of alignment. I have never even heard of someone breaking that shear pin. I didn't even realize it was a shear pin until I just looked it up in the diagram. One model that I had used a square lock pin, and it worked fine. Something must be binding on the shaft side...

    2 5/16” ball with 3/4” shank???

I have the same Titan setup. I removed the 1-7/8" ball and drilled out the hole to 1" and replaced with a 2-5/16". If you needed the 1-7/8", it could be swapped with the 2" with the 3/4" shank hole. You can also get a ball that has replaceable heads in the two smaller sizes. Drilling to 1"...

    SHTF question

So easy to bypass. Installer confirmed my thoughts the day of install. In SHTF scenario, no inspectors around...hehe

    Battery Lawn Mower.

My two cents... Are you going battery with Anything else? I have the toro power head and the Ryobi Expand-it attachments. I wanted a battery mower to mow close around ornamental tress and gardens, and use the BX for the real mowing jobs. I bought the Ryobi 40v mower because I have a bunch of...

    BX exhaust extension

This is one of those projects that I have been meaning to get to. The pain for me with this is that it blows the leaves away from the mower deck when I trying to pick them up in the fall. Obviously not all of them, but many of them. Frustrating. Hopefully I will get to this fix before the...

    SHTF question

If I had to choose three, it would be based on the current situation that I found myself in. If I had a "place" to go, whether my own home or a planned destination, I would take my Beretta 92fs 9mm. Accurate, fast, and non-jamming. Common ammo. Large capacity magazines. I would of course...

    Honda EU2000I generator

And on the pull and sit theory...these generators have fuel pumps. You have to manually pull rope to pump the fuel. No gravity at all. A primer bulb would allow gas to be pulled through these pumps and fill the carbs. There is a guy who builds a starter kit for these, but man o man is it...

    Honda EU2000I generator

Okay, a few things. Seafoam added to the fuel (also use stabil marine for the ethanol part) will help. The EU2000's come with a drain pipe from the carb. Open the cover and you will see a screw attached to a pinkish hose. Turn the screw and it drains the bowl for storage. problem is that...

    Opinions on my BX build

Greetings. Okay, this is my opinion, so I am going to be honest. Get the Front blower, number one. Get a used PTO driven grass catcher off of craigslist, or if your lot will be without a ton of turns and obstacles, the cyclone rake/DR/lawn vac attachment will suffice. The Kubota catcher is...

    Gun laws 101?

The talk lately has brought to my attention one point over and over... MANY people think an "Assault Rifle" means it is a fully auto weapon. Not a single person has been able to tell me what makes it an "assault rifle". Some will listen to me, others just close their ears. Statements that...

    Gun laws 101?

confiscation IS a real discussion here in the US... the group on the anti gun side says thats the only way to "fix" the problem. With the mindset of many, it would not be a very good fix....more like a bloodbath.

    Gun laws 101?

Massachusetts is, well Massachusetts. you need a lawyer to do most things because you never can be sure whether it is legal or if it changed overnight. Sorry for you, if you didn't follow every law being passed, and no forgiveness for not knowing. I'll try to get all of this right: No...

    Stabilworks did it again

Will you be posting when and how to get on the list to start ordering them again? I found out about your stabilizers right after you stopped making them. I would love to get a pair for my Kubota BX2200.

    Cleaning ash from wood stove

I have a VC Montpelier insert and I have to do it weekly. Fills a 3 gallon ash bucket. The time also depends on the wood type and temperature. If I run it damped to get long burn throughout the night, I end up with more ash, but in the form of chunks of carbon. Seems if I burn it hot, more...

Is there anything to tune up?

Thanks for all of the replies. I will look into the valves. I don't see any smoke when bogging down. I remember that happening with one batch of fuel before, but this batch seems good. Maybe I am just expecting too much out of 22 hp, and I could have just been so impressed by the tractor...

Is there anything to tune up?

My 2003 BX2200 runs great. The only issue is when I use the front blower, it will bog down in heavy snow. I know this is normal, but it seems to bog down more than I remember over the last few years. I have around 800 hrs. on the tractor. Besides the normal filter kit, is there anything to...

You know you're in a small town when....

I live in a 'smaller' town, not quite small. But, my neighborhood feels just like what you all describe. We have 50-80 people each year for our christmas party, mostly neighbors and family. Mind you, we only have an 1100 sq. ft. ranch. Nice and cozy! When we used to go away, the rubbish...

Fit FEL w/o removing snowblower mount

And also watch if you drop the bucket all the way down that you don't pinch things between the bucket and the blower mount.

It is no secret it is cold in the whole USA.

This is the first week that I have to hold the glow plugs on for more than ten seconds. Puffing a bunch, but the BX came to life and ran flawlessly. I do keep it in a garage, but I still have unmelted snow on it from 2 weeks ago, so in two weeks, my garage has not gotten above freezing. The...
