New member of with old questions just got his tractor.

Very interesting as my dealer used tape when they assembled and mounted the FEL. I am very shall I say picky with my stuff and the non trimmed zip ties and teflon hanging from the fittings really bothered me.

How do you deal with snow?

Haven't posted any photos yet since taking delivery back in December. An L2501 HST dubbed the "lowercase L". Loaded rear tires, telescopic 3 point arms, bucket level indicator, QA and bucket hooks. The 84 inch loaner blade. The one I ordered was a 72 inch, but the paint was faded so they are...

UDT oil for ISO 32 substitute in chipper

You are good to be cautious. I'm a fan of 5w40 diesel synthetics too, but I am too scared to run the stuff while under warranty. I'm a broken record to many here I am sure, but I read a while back that Kubota Japan specifically advises not to run 5w40 in the hotter months. That is just bad...

    Using glow plugs.

Not sure how this engine differs from what they have in Australia, but per the manual for that, anything above 50*F doesnt need preheated. I would do a 3 second thing personally.. 1001, 1002, 1003 (commence primary ignition) 20*F to 50*F needs 5 seconds and anything below 20*F is 10 seconds...

    bx oil issue

If oil was pushed passed the oil filter gasket, what oil filter are you using? More specifically, the brand and part number.

-15 and started right up / NIW complaint thread

Re: -15 and started right up..... Friendly advice: Don't be pulling the "mod card" as that means nothing in the real world. On the other hand, don't let people rile you up either as life is too short. (Also, the term snowflake is just an insult directed towards millennials. Lol.)

    SMV emblem on tractors

You may have misunderstood me and that***8217;s fine, but I wasn***8217;t being inconsiderate. As I said, I drove over a hill and there he was. No flashing lights IIRC. Doubt I***8217;d get a ***8220;stern warning***8221; from the local LEO either as I did nothing illegal and was under the...

    L3301 Move rear wheels out???

Pardon my ignorance, but this would be for the upgraded rim right? My L2501 has the 1 piece rear rim. I do recommend some rear filled tires though. It***8217;s amazing how light it is even with loaded tires. Can***8217;t imagine it without.

    Aftermarket Kubota Parts

Funny, I read the same thing a while back with a cheap $60 starter being identical to OE, except this was for a JD. Machine lines and internals were identical. I need one for one of my G5200s. $310 for OE, $120 for a Kubota rebuilt and the eBay special for $60. Back to the original topic, Id...

    Renting implements & fluid contamination?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t fluid stay inside hydraulic implements once detached? So for example, someone rented a grapple before you and was running good ol 10w30 as hydraulic fluid in an old skid steer. Once you hook up to it, wouldn’t you water down your own hydraulic system with...

How do you deal with snow?

I meant while he’s using the tractor to plow. Thanks for the entry level commentary btw. I needed the laugh.

    Finally got my Kubota delivered!

Good looking Kubota. I have the little brother to that. Ended up getting a 72" Land Pride finisher and 72" Land Pride blade. Bought some forks and a QH for dad, but I wish I had a QH for myself as well.. With only 2 implements, I can struggle for a while I guess. I did end up getting the...

    SMV emblem on tractors

Interesting farmers have the right away. Wonder how it is here in Indiana. Last harvest season was headed to my parents who live on a hilly country road. Going 40 or so. Came over a hill and bam there was a combine with no spotter. Not only did he not stop, but he kept coming up the hill...

    G5200 Front Blade Mounting

Here the p/n for the bracket. 70030-02016 Here's the parts diagram from Messicks. You may need to create an account to see it, but it does a good job showing everything involved. https://www.messicks.com/ku/84899 When the lengthwise frame is bolted to the tractor, it is still allowed to...

    Oil??

Mechanically, there is zero issues at all. Warranty wise, it is a grey area in my opinion. A member here said Kubota Corperate has an issue with it being used in hot weather, which is fake news. My dealer on the other hand could care less, but claims people hardly run synthetic, which is also...

    G5200 Front Blade Mounting

There’s a bracket you’ll need that goes on the front bumper. Other than that, you just pin it to the deck lift mechanism and bolt the lengthwise frame to the hitch. Can’t figure out how to post pics with phone, but I’ll get you some. I also have some owners manual pics I took for another member.

10 acres - what would you get?

My salesman told me the 72 inch blade is enough to cover the rear wheels while it’s angled so I went with that. My blade is still on order but he gave me a loaner 84 inch. I can definitely tell it’s nack there but overall I’m pleased with how the tractor handled it. Weight is my limitation.
