Potentially Buying a L225DT with Loader and Backhoe

That is about what it - the whole package - went for new. Back then, there was support for it. Now it is obsolete - any major part breaks and you are in the used parts market. There weren't lots and lots of them sold. It is/was a great tractor, but I wouldn't put that much into it. More...

    L175 vs L225

The L3200 is 500+ lbs heavier, and a bit bigger all the way around. Most noticable difference is in lights, ROPS, a jillion safety switches, etc. The L225 is more like a B frame with larger AG tires. It'll run a 5' mower, 4' tiller, pull a 6' rear blade. The FEL, if it has one, will...

    B7100 HST 4wd - good deal?

You should double the price of those gas tractors(?), because the Kubota will outlast 2 or three of them. Then make the comparisons.

    B7200D Power steering modification

Great job on the steering!! The only problem with two tractors is you can't drive them both at once. One has to just sit there...

    Runs for 30 minutes, stalls

Nothing other than the gas cap fits the problem. Removing the gas cap should fix it right away.

    B7200 FEL and Backhoe

Nice work on the FEL! Just be cautious, if you can with a FEL. The arms may not be up to the force of the new cylinders.

    Backhoe bleed off.

I think the outriggers is a serious problem. The valves on my old K650 are so bad -and were from the start - that they wouldn't keep the rear end off the ground for more than a few minutes. Before I use it again I'm putting needle valves on the outrigger cylinders.

    Unknown Rim

Pop Pop, Put Tucker tire www.tuckertire.com pretty high on that list. Like Wolfman, I hold them in pretty high esteem. Their phone numbers are on the web site, and they have great prices and reasonable shipping. If you are going to go for tires as well, do it all at once to keep it to one...

L3800 HST and Caroni 73" Flail Mower

More often than not, I just use a piece of chain and a couple of shackles for the top link, with a bit of slack. That way the mower rides between the lift arms and rear roller, but you can still pick the mower up. Most of the newer brush hogs have an articulating top link connection that...

    Backhoe bleed off.

Yep, sounds normal to me. Before they had those pins I had to hold up the arm with a chain going to the rops. Now don't everyone start screaming - this was the homemade rops on my L185 - strong as Charlie Atlas...

How long before it will restart? Is it working hard, or hardly working? Temperatures normal?

L3800 HST and Caroni 73" Flail Mower

I'll be waiting. And don't be so apologetic - many of the Scots I've known were engineers.. Seems to be a national trait.

New to forum, got some questions

The quick answer is YES. My old L185DT was about the same weight, with a bit less loader capacity, but nowhere near the horsepower, and I was dazzled by what it could do!! On the other hand, traction is a function of tire size and tractor weight. An L3200 is about 800 lbs heavier, with...

    Pusher plow blade

Sounds good to me! Try again with the pictures - while typing a message, drop down to "Manage Attachments" and load them in. The blocks in the back should keep reasonable traction on the rear tires - a great idea! Kudos! You can pill the swivel pin at the front axle and drive away from it, right?

3 point hitch towing - trailer mover

You can buy/build lift arm braces, that go from the lift arm tips back up to the tractor side of the top link. They will lock the drawbar at a given height. You still have the problem of picking up the rear of the tractor, of course. Being sensible with weight distribution in the trailer...
