    L3800 PTO Don't Shut Off

Sounds like linkage to me too. Follow the hand lever until it goes into the transmission case, and look for anything loose or bent.

    dent in hood

Every dent I've ever put in a tractor hood came from dumping the FEL bucket over backwards, generally going up an incline to dump the bucket on a pile. Personally, lifting the bucket, climbing the mound, and tilting the bucket ahead are two too many things for me to do at once. If that is what...

    Add on Hydraulics?

That pretty much says it. My dealer charged me $500 for a 6' hose, 3/8" Dixon QD set, and an inline mounting bracket. I'm pretty sure he used the original return hose from the FEL bsck to the manifold for the return. Save yourself 3 or 4 hundred bucks.

    Any recommendations? New B2650

If you have any hills, remember that the brakes are on the rear wheels; if you have a bucketload, the rear end is light. Going downhill makes it worse, and suddenly you are without brakes. 4WD does not hurt the tractor. With the loader, it is better to use it and not need it, than to need it...

    12 volt aux outlet

Those are nice looking posts! Frankly, with the ease of access to the battery in the L3200/3800, I've never worried about boosting the battery. I mounted a Powerlet motorcycle style receptacle down by the fuse block - there is a threaded boss there. I wired it through an inline fuse to the...

b3030 and older 5ft 3 pt tsc kutter

What squeals, what spins, and what stops? You have PLENTY of horsepower to run the mower. You may possibly have a sheared roll pin through the mower drive shaft, or a loosely adjusted slip clutch. We need to know what part is stopping.

    Any recommendations? New B2650

Boy, that does seem to be a whole lot more tractor than the 2620 - about 250 lbs more! And a heck of a lot more capacity in the FEL. You need a LOT of rear ballast to counter your front end payload! Welcome to OTT! We look forward to your input about the new series, and PICTURES!

    Rhino 60" Finish Mower

According to Tractordata.com, Rear RPM: 514/876/1498 So, you should use PTO 1st at wide open, or PTO 2nd at about 2/3 throttle. The PTO shifter should not pop out to neutral - you may have some worn gears in there. I'd try PTO 1st at full throttle, and see how it cuts, and if it is working as...

    loader for an L305DT

The loader on my old L185DT was the same one on MagKarl's L245. On the L185 with tractor hydraulics it was SLOW. I had the dealer put on an auxiliary front pump. They naturally had no idea what they were doing, mounted it wrong, and actually took a torch and gouged out the hood frame to make...

    Advice please! BX2360 (500 hrs) vs. B2400 (1,000 hrs)

I'd also look for an L. You generally get 50% more tractor for about 10% more $$. An L will pick up more, pull harder, and still do a fair to middling job with a finish mower.

B2920 -Close to pullin the trigger

Welcome to OTT!! You are in for years of tractoring enjoyment. Your first non tractor purchase should be a high pressure washer, to keep the beast clean!

    L3800 Working On A Slope

I agree with Wolfman. With the FEL attached it raises the CG of the tractor, and the CG of the FEL itself is way out in front. Worse when you are going downhill. The tractor works better without it. As you most likely know, if you have ag tires, put them out as wide as they will go. With...

    B8200 ballast question

I built a front bumper for my L3200 with 20' of 1"x4" steel flat bar. About 260 lbs. Made a world of difference. For the B8200 I'd probably go about the same, or a bit less. That bush hog is making your front end light by probably about 300-350 lbs. You don't want so much weight that the rear...

    L3800 FEL storage

Yes, plywood under the kickstands. If you are going to rent a plate compactor, and your ground is rich, black stuff, I'd recommend 1-1/4 or 1-1/2 minus crushed rock to get some structure in the floor.

    FEL Hydraulic Repair

    3. The part with the chain is a coupler. Pull the chain off and you can separate the tractor PTO shaft from the pump shaft. 1. Pull off the chain, and dismount the pump. The PTO side of the coupler should slide off the shaft. You may not have to remove the chain, if you are lucky. Those keys...

    L3800 FEL storage

I don't think you will have a problem, particularly if the floor is old, packed and dry. If you have it to spare, use a couple of pieces of plywood on each side. When you are ready to disconnect, make sure you curl the bucket all the way, to lift the FEL frame as high as possible so you can...

    Tractor Size Advice

I'd buy the implement and give the L3130 a shot at it. I would not hesitate to put a 72" bush hog on my L3200.

L3800 HST and Caroni 73" Flail Mower

Mine uses a shear bolt, and yes, I remember it did shear once, 6-7 years ago. In the time I've been using the brush hog, I've worn out 3 riding lawn mowers, in fewer running hours. So I consider the brush hog to be low maintenance. I also use an old sickle-bar mower to span a ditch and do by...
