    newbie 3 point question

I just bought a 4', 13lb pry bar that helps a lot. My neck does not bend like it used to, so I also mounted a camera looking straight down from my canopy. With it I can usually line things up pretty well. Generally the tiller, bush hog and ballast block are a bear. You really don't get...

    where to buy

30 miles is not that big a deal. And it is still local economy. $800 will buy a nice implement.

    3-point

Check the transmission oil level - it is a common reservoir for the hydraulics as well. Check the hydraulic oil filter. If this tractor is new-to-you, there could possibly be a complete mis-adjustment of the 3ph arm feedback. It is usually external, located by where the lift arm attaches to...

    3 point Sprayer PTO

I put a power outlet on the tractor, and got a 25 gal trailer sprayer, with a 5' boom - does a 7' swath. About $250, if I remember correctly. It does fine. Wouldn't hurt if it was 50 gal, though. They didn't cost much more. On level ground like lawn we can pull it with the riding lawn...

    L4600 vs L3901

I mis-understood the way the $3000 went. Still, I'd get the L4600. I'm sure you will be happy to miss whatever the new line does to your tractor.

    FEL power.

Simple answer is NO. The fluid can get dirty, but the filter should take care of that. The dirt can mess up the valves. Simplest test of them is to pick up a load, and let go of the handle. The loader should maintain the position - not bleed off. Get a 0-5000lb pressure gauge and check the...

    M7040 PTO rpm gauge

Sounds like the PTO switch itself is bad, since you've checked all of the wiring. Put an ohm meter on the switch contacts and see if it is working.

    kx161 versus other minis

Look up excavator or mini excavator on ebay, and you will find a lot for comparison. 750 hrs in 5 years was probably rental service - 6hrs/day, 5 days a week for 25 weeks. Close to new. Your dealer does not want to lose your good faith. The first mini I saw on ebay was a bobcat with 6000+...

    Blade Pics part 2

Take off the FEL, and try it again. I imagine the FEL with bucket weighs about 1000lbs, with its CG well forward of the front axle. It is probably making the rear axle light by 600-700lbs. So most of the traction is in the front wheels. The rear end will slide around and spin quite easily...

Need to mow and need advice?

I have a Cub Cadet zero-turn with a steering wheel, that I use for about an acre of actual lawn. It is amazing going around flower beds, trees, rocks and the like. At the 5 year point, no failures. I don't believe you will be able to get really close as easily with the B. A zero-turn would...

BX2670 tracor - engaging belly mower while at 1400rpm idle

I do not believe you are hurting anything to run implements at rated RPM. The tractor is built to run at rated all day long. The implements are designed for that speed. The mower blade tip speed determines the quality and ease of the cut. As you said, you get a cleaner cut at rated. I use...
