Backhoe bleed off.

I used the backhoe part of my new bx25 and forgot to put the transport pins in the holes after I pulled back in garage. I got up to leave for work today and it was laying on the floor. The rear arm had bleed off I am guessing and was resting on the floor. Is this normal ? My opinion is this is not good but just a guess. Thanks for the help

Completely normal. I don't know of a backhoe that will stay perfectly still overnight.

There are probably some out there but not mine. Well, the FEL bucket will stay raised but none of the backhoe cylinders...even after the seals were replaced.

I think the leakage comes in the spool. There are a lot of little O-rings and valves in there to leak.

Yep, sounds normal to me. Before they had those pins I had to hold up the arm with a chain going to the rops. Now don't everyone start screaming - this was the homemade rops on my L185 - strong as Charlie Atlas...

Thanks guys I called the dealer just for second opinion and he said the same thing as you all that normal and the out riggers will also do it. So I guess that's good news . I can't figure out why it is made that way why not make them stationary ?

I think the outriggers is a serious problem. The valves on my old K650 are so bad -and were from the start - that they wouldn't keep the rear end off the ground for more than a few minutes. Before I use it again I'm putting needle valves on the outrigger cylinders.

As for the outriggers a good rubber bungee will do wonders when being stored or not used. And yes as everyone else has said this is normal.

Completely normal. My B670 (ancient) has no provision for swing locks or pins to keep it in place, so I've had to improvise.
