    BX2200 tiller size?

I use an RTR0550 on my BX2200 and BX2660, it works fine, but if I could do it over, I'd go for the next step up.

    M7040 a/c

We had to do that on our L5030, fortunately it's east to acces in the roof.

    Buyers Beware

Sorry to hear about your tractor. Your best bet is to have a Service Manager to advocate for you. My John Deere dealership got a new engine for our 2305 out of warranty; problem began within warranty time frame.

    l4240: tell me about it..

The biggest difference is going to be the HST+ and swivel seat.

    Buyers Beware

Sadface, please give some examples to back up your claims. Also, I've found no matter the brand, you can get a lemon. We went through repair after repair on a new John Deere; same with a Case CX80 etc. I didn't come whining to any forum about it or judge a whole brand based on one machine. Crap...

Grand L HST compared to a L HST

No way to adequately explain the advantages as one user likes something another user is indifferent. I traded a L5030HSTC in perfect condition for my L5740HSTC+ and for the first week or so was definitely underwhelmed. It began to grow on me as I learned all the features and LOVE it now.

    Just bought my first Kubota

Congratulations on your new tractor, I was in my 60s before I could buy a new one, but the old ones still get used; can't seem to wear them.

Water in the cab (L4760 HSC)

If none of the aforementioned gets it, you may need to pull the top to check drain tube, check the fittings etc. Ie pressure washer, I only use mine on tires, wheels if it get really muddy, otherwise a garden hose and not even that often.

    Looking at a BX2660

The newer OEM protector is better than the old one, but it still leaves the fan vulnerable. Yes, it makes connecting the MMM shaft a bit harder, but no where near replacing a fan. On the BX2200, it's not a real big deal, but on later models it's a bear.

    Looking at a BX2660

That's why I got Bro Tek, I got the full set, but only use the back one. I also got the front boot protectors, but you can make your own if you have a shop.

BX 2200 shuts off after starting

Yes, the BX2200 does not do well if left out very much. I had to have my ignition replaced. If it quits running while working, it will be a fuel delivery problem and that's a rel bear to track down.

    Looking at a BX2660

Just an FYI, if it can happen, it will happen. My fan was trashed with the MMM mounted.

    Took Mom Fishing

What they said, we just lost mom about a month ago at the age of ninety-five and it still didn't didn't seem like enough. You will cherish the memories you are making.

    Looking at a BX2660

That is a very nice setup, I happen to have one just like it, but without the snowblower. I was in my early 50s when I bought my BX2200 in 2003, not my first tractor, but first SCUT and later bought the BX2660. They hold their value very well. There are lots of options available from Bro Tek...

    Gear Drive Transmission VS HST

As to longevity/durability, I can't remember the last time I read of anyone having broken/worn out an HST. We also have some tractors made in the 50s and sixties with the original clutch. Used properly, either will probably outlast you and more.

    buying a box scraper

What they said, if it ill handle the 60", I'd get it. I have an HR3584 on my 5740 and like it sticking out a bit on both sides, easier to get right up against something and not get the tractor into something.

New Kubota owner, believe I got a good deal!

Congratulations on your L30. I had an L5030 with about 1500 hours. When I traded it in, it got sold before they had time to prep it and put it out front.

    FEL On Or Off

Getting a bit too feeble to bother taking mine off, but when I was in better shape, I bush hogged on familiar ground with the FEL off, much smoother ride and more maneuverability.

    Food plot No Til Drill

What they said and a no till is a hard pull. We sold our Great Plains a few years ago after getting our farms seeded, just too much money to keep it sitting around fr food plots.

Battle of the Budget Grapples (Vote now)

We went with two Loflin grapples on the recommendation of the owner of our Kubota LP dealer, not "cheap" but not one of the top models or close. They work fine, but we don't use them a lot, if we did, we would have gone with the premium models. We have a well equipped shop, so if anything goes...
