    L4200 front axle differential

I can only speak from the automotive / truck side. Every pinion I've ever set up was done only by feel. Every mechanic I know does it the same way. Tighten the nut until you get zero bearing play... from that point, tighten the nut until a SLIGHT amount of resistance is felt while turning the...

Drive Train warranty,,, we pay 25%??

Nut or bolt in a bag from a dealer is a part. A handful of 3/8" bolts, nuts, flats, and locks to hang an exhaust system are shop supplies. Dentist pays $125 for a crown from a lab. You walk out with a $1000 bill. $875 for the hour to install it. Different world. I shudda been a dentist. I've...

Drive Train warranty,,, we pay 25%??

As I said in my first sentence .... "I agree, there never should have been any charge for anything covered under warranty" I'll even go a step further and say not shop supplies on covered warranty work (which is actually what I was including in my first sentence). Pickup and delivery, yes...

Drive Train warranty,,, we pay 25%??

I agree, there never should have been any charge for anything covered under warranty. That being said.... So.... what you're saying is; nuts, bolts, brakleen, roloc discs, oxygen, acetylene, C25, welding wire, plasma consumables, gum cutter, sealants, saw blades, grinding wheels, power...

    Leaking fuel cans

I'm not a high volume fuel user either. I use old (clean) hyd. oil pails with a squeeze type manual siphon. Under $10 all over eBay..... and the batteries never go dead.

    Stabilizer Cylinder

Working alone in my shop for 27 years I've gotten out of trouble in many unorthodox ways... that being said, I wouldn't try it. Looks like they caught the banjo bolt with the weld. Take the fitting to the nearest hydraulic shop... they should be able to help you. If it's not available anywhere...

    Lessons learned

I'm sure most know NAPA = Wix. My jobber quoted me more for my 4 filters in Wix vs. Messicks delivering genuine to my door. I never thought the OE Kubota filters were priced out of line. Same deal with my 6-71 Detroit oil & fuel filters. OE was cheaper from Penn Detroit Diesel than Wix.

Broke the engine block coolant petcock.

If these are that prone to corrosion and failure, I'd be on my way to the nearest Fleetpride or big truck shop for a brass replacement.

    Smoky start up

Just curious as to how the pump failed. Impeller fall off or break? Hub spin on the shaft? Asking because it obviously wasn't leaking since it had coolant in it. Any good info helps the rest of us.

    Problem?

Negative.... They were very real (dark roasted) peanuts :D. I don't know where they could get that many peanuts from unless a neighbor worked at Texas Roadhouse and went home with their pockets full every night.

    Problem?

Towed into my friends shop as a no start... died on the highway. When they cranked it and the exhaust was whistling... this is what he found on disassembly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    crankcase plug

Sounds like you're looking for a NPT (national pipe thread) plug. Probably 1/8" or 1/4" if you're talking about a 3/8" hole. Answer is ... any plumbing, hardware, or automotive store.

    BX25-D Bucket Curl Cylinder broke.

Definitely! When I was doing my steering box, I went to mine for a few o-rings... He said they weren't even worth printing a receipt. I threw him a $20 and we both walked away happy! And, he thanked me for not having them do the job........ said he hated doing them!;)
