    M4700 acting starved for fuel...?

"The Choke works properly,......" What choke? Have you tried bleeding the fuel delivery system? Your owner's manual should have the instructions. Make sure all the fittings in the fuel delivery system are tight. Remove the line between the lift pump (if you have a lift pump) and the injector...

In my opinion, this forum is not the proper place to discuss this issue. The OP needs to get a lawyer to deal with this problem.

Kubota M108SHC starting issues, starts sometimes, sometimes not, hit or miss

Welcome to the forum. I looked at the supplied part diagram and i don't see any glow plugs. The starting aid for your tractor is a heater grid in the intake manifold (See the parts diagram one of the people supplied.) You are lucky it probably isn't working because a shot of starting fluid...

    Cold Weather Starting

"I have started the B1750 (without ether or hair dryer) ...." I hope you don't ever plan to use ether or starting fluid to start you relatively modern tractors. It's a good way to break rings or the piston lands. I am not a big fan of glow plugs but our old M4500 has them. I installed a block...

reversed battery polarity damage Kubota BX 2350

Look at the circuit diagram and you will most likely see a 40 amp fuse in the circuit between the battery and the starter. For what it's worth, I too had a brain fart and hooked the battery up backward. on our M4500. All that happened was I blew that fuse. Talk about being PO'd at myself...

    Cold Weather Starting

If you have a block heater plug it in for a couple of hours before you want to use the tractor. If it's working, your engine will start like it's summer. Also check the glow plugs because odds are they are not all working.

    Cold Weather Starting

I don't know of any tractor that has an automatic low oil pressure shutdown capability. Does your machine have glow plugs? If so, are ALL your glow plugs working? I would suspect they are not and the engine will fire off on a few cylinders and then die because it can't sustain itself. Some...

Grand L5030 will not start using the key

"There is power going to the starter but no power going to the solenoid." The power to the starter comes through the solenoid contacts so I don't understand this statement. If the solenoid isn't working the starter won't turn over the engine. You said you hot wired it to get it to crank so you...

    L2501 will not start

Doesn't that say that the problem is between the relay and the solenoid? I understand the belay has been replaced so is there power to the key side of the relay? And be darned sure about the chasis ground.

    L2501 will not start

Do you have power to the starter solenoid when you turn the key to start? Are battery cables good and the chasis ground "bright and tight"?

Paralysis by analysis - Buying decision needs wise input!

Nothing I said should be construed as buying a "used loader". Most aftermarket loader manufacturers make the attachment hardware for many models so there is no "bastardization" involved. Who do you think makes the loaders for the OEM's ?. When I bought my '82 Ford 4610 in 1999, I bought a new...

Paralysis by analysis - Buying decision needs wise input!

Don't pass up a good tractor because it doesn't have a loader. Do some research and see who makes loaders. Again, I would not advise a loader on a 2wd tractor. The front axles are stronger on a 4WD machine

    Lx3310 hard starting

Thanks for your input. When I looked at the parts drawing, I figured it was not anything to do with power control, but at the very least was a starting aid and warm up device. Didn't know about the emission control aspect of it. Thanks again for the info.

    Lx3310 hard starting

After looking up the part diagram, this appears to be something associated with the heated intake starting aid system not power control of the engine. My '99 SuperDuty with a 7.3L Navistar engine has a "quick warm up" system that throttles the exhaust to change the fuel/air ratio and make the...

Paralysis by analysis - Buying decision needs wise input!

It all depends on the how the machine was used and maintained. Some people beat the crap out of a machine and treat it like a consumable. A lot of rental machines are abused and not well maintained. People try to use a subcompact tractor as if were a D9 Cat! The subcompacts are simply not...

L2501 temp question - first time diesel owner

Unlike a spark ignition engine, which run very little peak cylinder temperature variation, the diesel runs with large variations in peak temperature. The peak temperature will vary with load and ambient temperature. That's because the engine is controlled by fuel flow. SO doing light work (low...

Kubota B8200 - Any performance mods?

A pump with 2.5 times the flow will require 2.5 times the power to run it, It will generally have a bigger envelope and drive shaft so fitment will be an issue. It is unlikely to be a simple change over. A pto pump with a separate reservoir might be the way to go.

Yeah there are limits to the allowable weight imbalance from a control standpoint.

Kubota B8200 - Any performance mods?

Be careful in using an aftermarket air intake. Tractors operate in a dusty environment and a lot of aftermarket intakes use minimum restriction air filters which means they don't filter very well. The 7.3 L Ford/Navistar motor utilized electronic fuel injection and these engines are easier to...
