M4700 acting starved for fuel...?

Hello, Group:
I have an M4700...and I've been having fuel problems.
I changed the Fuel pump (apparently, it had never been changed... it ran like a raped ape for awhile! Then it started acting like it was starving for fuel (would start...rev up, and die.)
Changed the Fuel Filter & Housing, then a month later, changed the fuel filter again...and nothing...cannot get it to run for more than a few seconds at any RPM.
The Choke works properly, and it has good quality (on-road) Diesel in the tank.
Any suggestions?

What choke?

Have you tried bleeding the fuel delivery system? Your owner's manual should have the instructions. Make sure all the fittings in the fuel delivery system are tight.
Remove the line between the lift pump (if you have a lift pump) and the injector pump. Crank the engine and you should have a big stream of fuel coming out of the lift pump discharge. If you don't, either you tank outlet is clogged, you have a restriction in the filter head or the filter itself, or the lift pump is bad.

Umm...the pull Choke underneath the starter key-switch?...the way you shut the Tractor off?

There are no chokes on diesel engines as far as I know.
There are fuel shut off levers and knobs and decompression knobs that pull.

I think the thing that stops the engine on your engine is probably the fuel shut off and needs to be pushed in as far as possible (or into the running position). Then fuel is allowed to be delivered to the injectors.

I have assumed that you have a diesel engine since you mentioned diesel fuel in your post above.

I think the thing that stops the engine on your engine is probably the fuel shut off and needs to be pushed in as far as possible (or into the running position). Then fuel is allowed to be delivered to the injectors.

I have assumed that you have a diesel engine since you mentioned diesel fuel in your post above.
Kubota identifies it as an "Engine Stop Knob"... Based on 40 years' of experience on Gasoline engines (and admittedly very little on Diesels)... I assumed that since it pulled out to activate, it was a Choke.

Ok we got the choke thing figured out, yes it's a fuel cut off solenoid.
Have you established that you have good free flow out of the fuel tank to the fuel filter?
Algae / crud in the tank or fuel filter inlet can cause all sorts of issues.

I suggest to check to be sure fuel tank is venting. An unobstructed tank vent keeps exiting fuel from creating a vacuum in fuel tank stopping fuel flow. Did you replace water separator housing? If not I suggest to check for fuel flow blockage in water separator fuel passageways. Several yrs ago om a M4900 I located a clogged tiny screen in the WS housing.
