I was thinking about something here, several years ago there was a flood of newer car and trucks that hit the market at some really good prices. Turned out they had been in flooded areas and under water. Yes they were cleaned up and fluids changed, and people bought them. A good deal turned bad pretty quickly from what I remember, lots of electrical issues and mechanical issues from being under water. And I think the law suits stated that they were sold as new not as being flood damaged. Any way I was wondering what happens to tractors that have been flooded too? It might be a buyers market soon, but not so good a deal again. Now do they have to divulge that a tractor was under water, and reclaimed. or do they sell them off as junk and collect the Ins on them, and then the scrap guy sells them off as a used tractor?

OK I need some more coffee

Skeets, I had a friend telling me just yesterday of something similar.

He needed a clothes washing machine. He brother regularly attends a place that has closed bids on items. His brother bid for a couple of washers and finally was the low bidder at like $250. They were new Maytag machines.

When he got the machine it wasn't working. He took it to a dealer. Dealer said it was suppose to be scrapped. Maytag had several machines that had a particular manufacturing problem, and they decided to scrap them all.

Some scrapper apparently got them and was selling them as "scratch and dent". He contacted the auction house and they refunded his money. So he was out his time and trouble, and still had no washing machine.

There are those often used words, "buyer beware". But how can you really tell? I don't know! I guess you have to buy it cheap enough it doesn't really matter if it runs. Don't let your emotions over run your logic.
