Have you ever changed the hyd oil before? With 250 hrs on it you are approaching the second sceduled oil change.

    What kind of engine oil??

I'm glad to hear some more stories about when eyes were opened to synthetic oil and the benefits it will give. It's harder for some people to kick the old school habits that we were taught most of our lives. People seemed to be amazed when Mobil 1 gave them a 15,000 mile oil change couple of...

    What kind of engine oil??

Hi Joe, I'm glad that you are thinking about more than just the cost of oil now. When you look at the big picture things really change. If the initial cost is all that was concidered the nobody would use synthetic pruducts. I understand your concern about running oil longer than normal. The...

    Finally found one

That is good milage in that truck. I see you have done several different mods to your truck. Did they help on the MPG by adding them on or could you tell any difference. I'm sure they made a big difference in the way it runs. I have a 97 250 2wd crew cab and get about 19 or 20 mpg. I added a...

The 5w40 will do fine in the Kubota but the w40 is not necessary. It won't do any damage to anything but your wallet. W40 is a little harder to pump than w30 is so it will burn more fuel and take just a little HP from you. I'm currious as to what series Ford you have and how the oil you are...

    B7200 Vs B8200

I agree with Eric, the size is close to the same between the two. It is still small enough to get in tight spots and the added weight will help in some situations. Either size will do you a good job.

    Jerky emplement lift

Just for a shot in the dark, how stiff is the control arm to move? You may want to lubricate all the linkage on the control arm. I have found on my 3000 that it makes a huge difference in how it acts when using the 3pt. It only takes one tight joint to cause the problems that you are describing.

I got my teeth in that I ordered and finally found the time to get them on. So far so good, they seem to do very well.

Hi Thomasone, That was a very information filled responce. I see that you were one who tried several different brands try to find what was the best for your fleet. I'm glad to see that Amsoil has been so good to you. It's amazing that just choosing the right oil can make so much difference...

    My 3130 quit

After you dislodged whatever was stopping your fuel flow from the tank how is your flow now? If your fuel line was plugged up at the tank one time maybe it is partially blocked again. You may need to drain and clean your tank before you worry about the rest of the fuel system. If you start from...

    TG1860G overfueling

My first thought is trash in the fuel tank. It doesn't take but one piece sticking the float and it could flood you out. I just went thru this with a wood splitter. I ended up installing a inline fuel filter and several times cleaning out the carb before this was fixed.

    FEL blade replacement

If you ever need to replace it again maybe consider buying a bolt on cutting edge for something like a Bobcat or about any brand of skid steer. Kubota buckets can be a pain to drill thru in certain spots but once you changed it to a bolt on setup you can change the edge in a few minutes.

    Kubota M6800 cut-off problems

My oil light comes on for a few seconds at start up on my L and M series and this is normal. There is no oil pressure before you crank it so therefore the light should be on until it builds pressure. As long as your light goes out after maybe 1 or 2 seconds I wouldn't think this is your problem...

    Accelerator Lever

On my B 7100 that I had the throttle worked like this. It raised the RPM's when the lever was pulled back and lowered when it was pushed toward the front. The ignition switch is not supposed to kill the engine on these models. Mine had a small yellow lever kind of under the right side of the...

    What kind of engine oil??

Hi Joe, I can understand your position on the high cost of Amsoil but you're not looking at the total picture. I have a perfect example for you to think about and may make you think twice before you consider Amsoil to be overkill. I just did some hay for a customer of mine in a new location...

    L3240HST Loader Control sticks

Going by the info you gave it sounds like the inside of your control has got water down in it and now is starting to rust. If this is your problem and you caught it quick enough you should be able to take the bottom of the control apart and clean everything up, lube it and then you should be...

    Finally found one

Thomasone, it sounds like you have the prove it to yourself attitude like me. I have to see it for myself instead of taking someones word on it. I am very stubborn when it comes to change. When you first put Amsoil in your Kubota did you notice a big reduction in the engine noise the first...

    L3240 50 Hour Service

My dealer told me that all Kubota tractors and mowers come from the factory with Super UDT in them because they don't know where they will end up and what type of climate they will have to be worked in so they prepare them for the worst.

    damaged backhoe buckets

It sounds like you were doing some hard pulling on those stumps. I'm sure that most any machine shop can fab the pieces that you need to fix the buckets. Before I tore my machine up any more you may concider renting a larger machine to do the grunt work then finish with yours. This cost me...

3 PT Lift Arms Acting Up

Hi zrider350, welcome to OTT by the way. I went back and reread your first post and noticed your only had the tractor a short while. Going by that I assume you don't know much about the history of the tractor. Some hyd oil is not made to go in just any system. If the former owner changed the...
