Need 2320 DT advice - first timer

Welcome to OTT. I think you need to double-check. I think the B2301/2601 are all HST, whereas the B2401 is geared.

    What's cookin' boys?

Our baby turned 21 this week. He’s an aspiring Medical Doctor, and studying for his MCAT’s His identical twin sisters are almost 28. He requested a pumpkin chocolate cheesecake for his birthday. I don’t bake much, but I like doing cheesecakes.

Automotive Museum and Member Classics...What We Do For Fun.

Motion - while the GTO Judge was cool in one picture, the special car might have been the yellow Buick next to it. It was a 455 as I recall, and of very, very limited production. Those pictures were from 5 or so years ago....it drew a good crowd of folks my age....😜

skeets - many of the cars are on loan to us by generous owners, so we don’t drive them at all. For the ones we do own, we do register and drive a few for parade vehicles. The others we own we only keep Museum insurance on, so they don’t leave the property either. Guessing we own 25% or so. It...

Automotive Museum and Member Classics...What We Do For Fun.

Bill - it’s really a great thing. We’re about 90,000 square feet, so it’s very large with about 175 vehicles on exhibit. There’s vehicles with somewhat modest value, while others are worth more than my lifetime income. The ‘66 Plymouth convertible just came in as a donation, and may replace the...

Automotive Museum and Member Classics...What We Do For Fun.

I couldn’t find the other thread about the Museum I’ve been part of for 20 years. Member Daren Todd stopped there a couple years ago and posted some great pictures. The Car Museum has been closed due to COVID since March. We finally had an Executive Committee meeting in person a couple weeks...

    What's cookin' boys?

Last night was Bruschetta grilled chicken with zoodles, zucchini fritters and good ole Italian bread. Some extra marinara on the side. The chicken breasts were from Amish store 40# case we bought. They’re huge.

Buying a B2301 with attachment and recommendations

Tractor time- the B2601 I looked at yesterday had R14’s on it. First I have seen them. R3 (turf) or R4 (industrial) is a common debate. Many say R3 have better traction than R4 and take tire chains better. R1’s (Ag/bar tread) is another option, but can have problems marking up a lawn. I have...

    Bx2380

After running it re-check all fluids, including the front axle. Many find new machines low on hydraulic fluid and front axle. Maybe just a matter of some air. Also, double-check torque on wheel lugs and loader mounts. Best to find these issues sooner than later. My BX was about a quart low of...

Buying a B2301 with attachment and recommendations

Big - I can’t disagree with your assessment, but there’s some things a sub- or compact tractor can do that we have done by brute force ourselves over many years with a garden tractor. An FEL is a good example, or a box blade to rejuvenate a stone driveway. I had a JD425 garden tractor for...

Fuel Filters on the BX series

Nice! At least it’s now done. You’re good to go! I wasn’t sure on the need to remove the loader....I do mine “mid-season” when I convert from winter operations to summer operations, so loader and brush guard are off. I’ve been putting off a radiator flush myself....😳

Advice on used B3350 - go for it or keep looking

Specific to the B3350. The B3030 does not have the Tier IV emissions that the 3350 has.

Buying a B2301 with attachment and recommendations

Welcome to OTT! Nice tractor choice. 1. You should look at a RFM. They’ve intrigued me, but my mowing is tight and steep in some spots. If I was more open, a RFM would be a serious candidate. You can mow in reverse. 2. Spacers can provide some room for tire chains, and improve stability on...

    Analysis Paralysis L2501/LX2610SU…….B2601

I stopped to look at a B2601 and B2650 this morning. For some of the work you mention TomRC, my gut says maybe the L2501 could be a better choice. At least a B2650, which might be better suited for your yard work, even if it were a rear finish mower. Probably not a well-informed suggestion, but...

Is it time to let go?

Cappy --- I don't have good advice for you except one. You have D2Cat in the conversation. 'Cat is probably one of the most savvy folks here regarding what makes common sense for buying/selling/maintaining a Kubota tractor or related implements. Seen it many times in my years here on OTT. I...

Fuel Filters on the BX series

I think the front is a cakewalk. I'd take that one over the bottom one any day.... It's very easy to get at it when sitting on a shop stool, instead of on your back...😎 I've looked at the aftermarket filters as above. I think there's merit there. I wasn't aware of the leaking GeoHorn...

Is it time to let go?

I'm just guessing without any pictures or details, but even your old machine in working order including the FEL might be worth more than you think. Is i worth a fortune? No.... but it's worth more than scrap value. While the $550 is a tough nut, it's something to think about investing in the...
