Fuel Filters on the BX series

William- I would change the front filter also, especially after disrupting/agitating the fuel system. I would also treat with a Biocide as a normal routine. I started dosing all fuel all year 2 years ago, I think.

Not a Goodyear fan here either. My experience is mostly OEM, as I don’t replace factory tires with GY. I’ve had 6 new Chevy Silverados in a row. I think all but one had GY. Some have gone 50k miles, others 25....my driving or use hasn’t changed in 25 years. I can spot the cupping on the edges...

Bruce- thanks for the link. I enjoyed his objective analysis. Just before I watched it I found a small spook of the Husqvarna line he tested. No idea where I got it.... dirty - this is the Stihl line I’ve used for years.

Slide On fork receiver hitch problem

That's a product of your lift point being WAY out in front of the "pins" for the loader mount. Loaders are rated for lift capacity at the pins and about 24" forward of the pins. The further out you go, the less capacity you have. That capacity drops very quickly with distance from the pins...

I've been using Stihl 0.105" line for 20 years or so. Plain ol' round stuff, nothing fancy with edges/shapes, etc. Seems like a medium spool is about $9+ at my local Stihl dealer. I'm very rough on line. I still don't get as much run time as I'd like, but found .105 seems to last better...

Very nice Kubota! Enjoy! I think your A-C WD or WD45 is circa early '50's +/- . Very capable tractors by their own right and in their time. Not an A-C expert by any stretch, but there were many of these in my area as a kid. I think there are a few A-C owners here on OTT.

Don't believe it's LineX, but when new my '17 Silverado was on the lot with a factory(?) spray-on bedliner. Like you, first liner I've had like that and REALLY like it!

Yeah Ford, the other thing is what sounds like brakes dragging.... I understand that some folks being out of work has caused some serious financial issues back home, but some of these folks have never had a job to lose......

    What's cookin' boys?

Super!! Not surprised on price....someone told me the other day 80/20 ground beef was $9/lb at a local Amish store where we got the boneless chicken breasts and bone-in thighs for $1/lb.😳 We’ve been able to get stuff on sale sometimes. Others the store just doesn’t have it.

I think I saw that truck here the other day.....oh wait, we have 100’s just like it in my neck of the woods too.....🥺 The number of vehicles I’ve heard lately with obvious wheel bearing or sway bar/ link problems....wonder something doesn’t just fall off....🥺

    How Is Your Beef Supply

Our beef came yesterday. I asked the farmer how he handled the long delay at the processor. Said he just left the animals set for shipping in the barn and kept feeding. He said he might add a few head as he had more calls than he had animals to ship. We had a cool spring, snow on Mother’s...

    Box Blade Question

I think you made a good choice. I have a 4 footer for my BX. Sometimes I wish it was 54”, but I never wish it was 60”.....

    Anyone planting garlic?

Looks great John! Toss some of those scapes in your smoker with meat of choice.... I would break them off and roast in my closed grill with a half turkey or split turkey breast.

    Red-Tailed Hawk's Nest

I’m guessing injured or a youngster that’s just learning to fly? ....ours up north would be fledging about now but thinking yours would be earlier? One of my concerns with the hatchling on the hill was that they sometimes fall when learning to fly and become fodder for raccoons or other...

    Red-Tailed Hawk's Nest

I’ve been remiss in not keeping this current. They’re Red Tailed Hawks, no doubt. A while back we could hear the hatchling, but for a while the sounds stopped. Thought it was a goner, which honestly upset me a little.🥺 Turkey vultures, crows or even a raccoon or Fisher will climb a tree for a...
