New Root Grapple Needed for MX6000 HST 4 whl drive

Move a lot of trees on our hillside mostly wooded farm. Grapples have been a blessing. Like the dual lid for sure. Wicked EA on B26 is best for size, weight and function. Skid steer grapple is 30+ years old on M59 has moved hundreds of tons of debris. Might be Blue Diamond brand but don’t...

I need a good Flail mower. Thoughts???

Alamo SHD74 and others sizes in their line have a slip clutch. Common flail mower for municipal use. Tried a small flail for finish mowing. Regular finish mower is better on our hilly curvy ground. Rear roller not kind if continuous turning and trimming. Figured the same for my many small...

    Kubota B26 service manual needed

The problematic old line was steel tubing from filter housing to rubber elbow. New design is two metal tubes connected with a short piece of rubber tubing for flex then the rubber elbow. Our B26 is 2016 and changed to the new design in about 2019. I had given a copy of my invoice to a friend...

    Getting Old and Back Issues

Farmer with a bad back? Time will take its toll. Just started chiropractor adjustments for the first time. Wasn’t injured from doing the many lifts but from coughing from a silly summer cold. Embarrassing. Sure has slowed me down but getting better… slowly. While the Chiropractor is first...

HST vs. gear drive for various types of work.

Wife is competent operator of the HST B26. Handy when I need help on the M59 for FEL basket work or other jobs. HST sure helps other operators less familiar with tractors. My Dad had a tractor before I was born but he sure scared me and him too sometimes with geared tractors.

HST vs. gear drive for various types of work.

For hillside work the HST has many advantages. Precision mowing, high hazard, brown tree cutter, grapple work all benefit using HST.

    New to be B20

Yes. Sold the B20. Use the same pallet. The M59 and maybe your L48 backhoe can sit on the ground with no problem.

    New to be B20

Owners manual tells you block underneath when removing. It doesn’t tell you why. When removing it is supported by the bucket and outriggers. They will bleed down over time and becomes too low for the hydraulic lines to reach. I back over the pallet, unhook, pull away just a little, turn off...

6ft Titan land plane on BX2380

Both blades classifying and distributing gravel and fines important. Has reduced time and improved durability on my driveway on our hillside farm. M59 tractor with loader, 60hp, 4wd, diff lock struggles to pull 6’ landplane up hill in a few spots. No flat ground on farm.

    New to be B20

Worst complaint is parking brake. Stupid design. Always had to use the FEL. Miss the ssqa. Build a custom pallet if removing backhoe. Makes R&R much easier. Same for the B26. 3pt arms are T-Rex like. Improved the B26 with Pat’s quick hitch and pin sway control bars. The large suction...

    New to be B20

We had our B20 for over 20years. Like the TLB series. EBay good source of WSM. So you put a new Kubota air filter in? I would stick with Kubota filters and hydraulic oil. Real finicky on hydraulic oil. Try a good injection cleaner. Mine run better, burn cleaner with Stanadyne performance...

    Forks that clamp onto bucket

I’ve got skidsteer rated forks but still find the clamp on bucket forks useful at times. My favorite tool for digging up sweet taters with minimal damage. Rounded corners of the fork tubes and bucket to put them in.

    PTO Shaft recommendation

Yes. My flail, rotary cutters, tree cutter, rototillers all have slip clutches. They do require some knowledge and adjustments. New shafts come with some instructions. Not best to store outside in the weather as the clutch material can rust to the plates.
