I need a better step up to my BX backhoe platform

Added extra steps to stabilizer cylinder rod guards on B26. Wider and higher pads, so helps this ole man climb up and down. Hope yours has an ample hand grab bar around the controls.

Utility Tractor Backhoe attachment frame vs hitch vs Mini Excavator

Finding best equipment is a challenge. Buying my TLBs years ago they were cheaper and have appreciated in value since. Wife and I are the work force, so anything that help us not to have to hire labor a major consideration. Even with TLBs versatility, they are modified to meet our needs. Have...

Utility Tractor Backhoe attachment frame vs hitch vs Mini Excavator

Bought a Ford 4500 backhoe for $4500, used 20years and sold for $4500. Big game changer on the farm. Now use Kubota M59 and B26 TLBs. Have to constantly reach and swing backhoe for balance when driving on our hillside farm. Many 3pt backhoe can’t reach controls so they are dangerous. Use in 3pt...

6 foot Rear Finish Mower for B2650?

To be clear I modified the caster wheel stems to trailer axles. Was having excess wear and bending of the OEM 1” diameter stems. Woods uses taper roller bearings on the blade spindles. Just rebuilt the first spindle this spring after 25years and about 2,000+ hours. Good design.

6 foot Rear Finish Mower for B2650?

Wife does most the mowing on our hillside farm. 6’ finish mower on B26. It also mulches and blows off leaves on our 1/2mile green tunnel driveway. Being able to back under landscaping and down creek banks a zombie can’t. Plus go in sum real ruff areas. Up graded spindles to trailer axles to...

    Fire extinguisher.

Years ago found old article on TBN about Kiddie plastic handle fire extinguisher recall. Had bought many 5# for the farm houses and parents. Had replaced many due to low gauge pressure over the decades but kept the old ones. Some 30years old. Four of them met the recall. Kiddie sent hazardous...

    B2650 Grapple Choices

Need to decide on long bottom or rake grapple. Personally like the dual lid long bottom for versatility. Everything attachment 54” wicked was best for strength and lightweight back then. Be smart add grill protection before you get grill damage with any grapple.

Anyone have these amber light lenses fall apart?

Deserve that. Hit me with ruler next time for misspelling. Kinda like my welding as I get older. Close is good enough.

Anyone have these amber light lenses fall apart?

Work around a lot of trees and damage or loosing lens was a problem. A nylon wire across the lens helped secured them. Tractor supply had the Best Buy on hoses type of fixtures. Could buy a whole fixture cheaper than one lens at Kubota. Eventually made some guards from some stainless steel...

    Backhoe Swing Lock Pin

Don’t use the swing lock pin much except for road transport or trailering. Hillside farm always swinging to the up hill side for balance. Use the boom lock often. Have to lower the boom to get through the tractor shed doors with M59. Then raise then lock once inside so if the boom drops...

    Backhoe Swing Lock Pin

Bought the M59 backhoe separately, used, missing swing lock pin. Made one from scrap pile parts. Handle length sufficiently long enough to easily reach from operator station. Handy when tapping the mounting pins in or out.

    Fire extinguisher.

Used one of their mounts for a fire extinguisher in the trunk of the Honda Ridgeline. Had to buy little bigger hose clamp to fit my extinguisher. Would caution to use all metal handle and valve on any vehicle fire extinguisher.

In need of a BT1000 Backhoe

Love my B26 for that very reason. Three old homes, barns, miles of underground utilities. Fits in more tight places. Handy as a pocket on a shirt.

    Traveller (TSC) 80W-90 gear oil

Local Kubota dealer recommended changing to gear oil on new tractor service. Used gear oil when repairing leaky front axle seals on an older tractor. It takes a while for new oil to work thru the hub bearings. Topped up several times over several days. Wasn’t using it. Finally reach the book...

    Clunking Right Rear Wheel L295DT

I had an intermittent cluck. Sounded like rear axle. Took me awhile to finally find a couple of wheel disk to rim bolts loose. I had checked several times before and all seemed tight. Just got in the right spot. Bolts threads buggered had to replaced. Put the impact on them.

    Pipe thread puzzle

Every time I’ve modified or added function to a tractor especially Kubota, a selection of fittings marked with different types of threads in a few common sizes would be helpful. Luckily the hydraulic shop I like often supplies and performs the maintenance on robotic manufacturing so they are...

Diesel Transfer Tank -Barometric Pressure Valve?

It’s a vacuum pressure vent. 1psi vac, 2psi pressure. Keeps vapor pressure above the fuel in to keep the humidity or water out. Reduces loss of evaporation of fuel. Us who live in high humidity need to store fuel this way.
