Cloth is more comfortable and less slippery than vinyl.

    6ft forward rotating tiller on a LX3310

Trying out the 6ft forward rotating tiller on the LX3310 today. It handles it just fine. Ground has had pines removed and stumps dug out but still has some roots and wood buried. I loosened and spun the driveshaft clutch then set it back where it was before running it. It would lurch every now...

Trailer hitch ball stem won't go into drawbar hole.

I found the pivot point on some drawbars to be too far forward to make sharp turns. I use a 3pt trailer mover with a 2" receiver. Even for my pin pulled stuff it lets me make 90 degree turns without the tongue hitting the tires. I don't put a ball in the shank on mine because I pull a mower with...

    Fabricating a better pedal

The engineer that put the brake pedals on the right over the go peddle should be tarred and feathered. No way would I buy a tractor with that design but I see they still have some newer models that have it. I haven't had any trouble adapting to the later design treadle on my LX3310 and I go...

    RC72-30BB Mower Setup and Removal

RC72-30BB Mower: This is long so if you have this mower and are satisfied with your setup you might not want to read it. I bought a LX3310 cab tractor with this mower mid summer with 200 hours on it. I wanted it primarily to use as an air conditioned mower. I have 55 trouble free hours on it...

Replacing hydraulic hoses on BT601 Backhoe

Also you can put two zip ties at one end or the other on the hoses so you know which way they install.

Replacing hydraulic hoses on BT601 Backhoe

Mark the hoses and fittings with matching color zip ties. Make sure and move all the controls to full extremes with the engine off to relieve the pressure on any lines. If you are having hoses made match the hoses and mark with the corresponding color zip ties...

    Power Outage LED Bulbs

I assume these charge while the lamp is turned on and retains the charge so if you need light when the power goes off they are there until the internal battery goes dead. They do not light if the switch is turned off. If you have them in a lamp that remains on they remain lit until the battery...

6 foot Rear Finish Mower for B2650?

Those should last forever without maintenance. I have a homemade ground powered mower I used trailer hubs for the spindles on. I machined the blade shafts out of stainless 1" bar stock.

    Diesel storage / shelf life.

That's a good observation. I didn't even pick up on the lack of a pump. Mine has a 12V pump connected to a deep cycle battery kept on a solar maintainer.

6 foot Rear Finish Mower for B2650?

Things to think about. A RFM isn't as maneuverable as a ZT but a tractor rides better than a ZT and gets you up and out of the dust when mowing in dry conditions. How many trees and obstacles you have to go around would be the deciding factor for me. Pick your poison. I recently got a deal on...

    Power Outage LED Bulbs

These are neat to have in a power outage. They have a built in battery and will stay on a couple hours if the power goes off. We have a lamp that stays on in our master bath and one in the dining room that remains on so if the power goes off those lights remain on. I also put one in each of the...

    Fire extinguisher.

On my open station tractor I mounted it on the side of the ROP first and it kept geting knocked out of the bracket. I finally moved it to the front right side of the ROP and it has remained secure there. FYI Autozone use to have a good deal on a 5LB ABC extinguisher with a metal bracket.

    Diesel storage / shelf life.

You should be fine with what you are doing. You should pump it dry between fills to check for contamination on the bottom. I have a 100 gallon aluminum tank I fill once or twice a year. At one point I was going through 3 tanks per year. I always pump it down to the bottom between fills. I just...

6 foot Rear Finish Mower for B2650?

Should be fine. I used a 6 footer behind a JD855 with 19 PTO HP and it never complained. Even in high Bahia grass which is as tough as it gets.

Does Oregon make a Gator G5 mower blade for my new Kubota Zero Turn

Not sure if your mower is much different than my MMM but the Oregon gator blades I bought to fit were 3/16" thick rather than the 1/4" of the stock blades. I had to add a third washer to get them to tighten. While at the dealer I saw they had some gator style blades of a different manufacturer...

    LX3310 Cab seat cover

I looked at Jay's but the fit doesn't look any better so I couldn't the higher price. I didn't have any issue with the seller. I sent a message from a random eBay ad and he got right back to me with the cover model and link. A couple of days past after I ordered so I sent an email asking about...

    LX3310 Cab seat cover

I have been looking for a decent cloth or canvas seat cover for my LX3310 cab and wasn't having any luck. It looked like the main suppliers of any tractor seat covers was Durafit and they all looked kinda crappy. They only listed a cover for the open station LX3310 so I finally reached out to...

    Quick Hitch advice please

I pretty much have to readjust the length of my top link for my different implements. I still feel the QH is beneficial and a time saver vs having to line up and connect the lift pins each time.
