I like how this guy thinks!

Around here, if you have your own grass and want it cut for hay, the farmers will charge $20-$22 per bale to mow, rake and round bale it. Net wrap is usually $2 extra per bale.

Welcome to the forum. Purchase a bottle of this product and spray it on all the exposed rust after getting all the loose stuff brushed off. It'll do wonders to stop the rust, and you can paint right over it. https://www.amazon.com/SKYBRYTE-Skyco-Ospho-Surface-Prep/dp/B000C02B3W

Chances are real good he farms and produces his own hay. Doubt he is going to find a person to deliver round bales and then bring a tractor to stack them for him. He lost virtually no value from storm damage to the hay. It's net wrapped and tight as bark on a tree! Virtually no water gets...

Replaced solenoid and still won't start

I went back and read through the thread. Sounds like you may have replace the solenoid on the starter. If that is correct you do not need to fiddle with that connection at all. I'm guessing it is clean enough. The ground at the machine frame is the critical one that gets neglected. Get that...

Replaced solenoid and still won't start

No. You can not leave either battery cable disconnected and try to get your tractor going. I'd suggest cleaning the negative battery cable at both ends. The end where it bolts to the tractor frame is critical because it is most neglected. So remove both cables at the battery. Clean the...

The first one left the nest today

I had to go onbase and get the paperwork, fill it out and ask my step-father to sign it so I could leave. Packed what I wanted into a foot locker and shipped it to my uncles. Carried all my clothes a a suitcase that folded open, so it was extra large. Went to the airport and waited for space...

Anybody got a source for surplus wheels/tires like these?

Bill, if you get a chance check out Harbor Freight. I needed a pair of 4.0-8 tires for my flail mower. When I look at HF they had a bunch of various tires mounted on wheels. The 4 lug trailer tire 4.0-8 was 34.99 each nounted on 4 hole wheels, to give you an idea. And right next to them was...

    Rusty diesel fuel tank question?

Robert, don't know about using the Ospho inside the tank, but I've use it many times. I'd guess if you let it set a couple of days it will be totally cured out. But you'll hear from mfg. and get their opinion. I'd get a strong magnet, tie it to a wire (or string) and work it around in the...

Replaced solenoid and still won't start

Someone has probably suggested this, but if not....remove both positive and negative battery cables. Clean the battery post and the inside of the cable clamps. Remove the other end of the battery cables. One will be at the tractor frame somewhere. Remove that bolt and clean the cable and the...

    Need a welding opinion-

Too late now, but when you get the seized part to move even one degree, go back the other way 2 degrees. It's necessary to move both directions in small increments. Usually keep flushing the seized part with a solution like PB Blaster as it is being worked.

    B6000E woods 304K belly mower-Need Help!

I'd suggest on the first picture posted by the OP, as you have the belt laying there pick up the piece of it running from pulley to pulley and bring it up and over the idler pulley. Now the back side of the belt is riding on the idler pulley. Then the remainder of the belt comes to the front...
