Last week I noticed one of my laoder curl cylinders leaking at the rod end. This week the other was leaking.

I decided to have them rebuilt after 18 years by a local hydraulic shop.

Cost looks like it will be under $300 for two cylinders. As compared to $677 each for kubota cylinders that seems like a bargain!

I am starting to hate this android tablet by the way... I was able to edit after great effort

Apple use here. Trying android for comparison.

Unfair maybe, but android sucks in my limited experience.

 I never could wrap my head around the apple interface. If it is so 'user friendly', why does it make me want to throw the damn thing at the wall. :)

Replacing a leaking hyd cylinder with a factory new one instead of rebuilding, is like throwing away a tire because it has a nail in it!;)

did an ansung 2540 today....

much more complicated than a kubota loader. Time=money, spent over an hour rebuilding one, the second one was a little easier because the seals on the piston basically fell apart. Both barrels were worn, owner said "kit them and call it good". $260 including parts. Don't know what the whole cylinder cost, didn't ask. Just got kits. I will say this: Ansung is cheaper, for a reason, and that's all I'm gonna say about it.

I could have rebuilt 6 kubota cylinders (for a loader, say such as LA524, etc--smaller stuff) in half the time it took to get the ansung seals ON the pistons. Almost invented a new phrase while putting those piston seals on but held it to "hemorrhoid" instead, as that word fit the best.
