    Chain saw advice

Ford Chevy Dodge. You get the idea. A small saw i would consider 50cc. 65cc will cut whatever you need but is heavy. Not many low end saws have this high displacement. Premium gas quality oil and fuel stabilizer.

3 years ago place i worked got a ranger diesel. Pulled pretty good. They beat the snot out of it,broke more than one drive axle. Tear boot open and time will tell. Belt drives have been around forever. Bring up rpms and clutch engages. Lots of hevy stop and go is hard on belt. Need to crawl...

    Disappointed

The angle iron thing seems like the best plan. But a lot of holes to drill and will weaken it. But flipping the angle and making a c channel will at least double the strength. Still a lot of holes to drill.

Can't identify part that fell off tractor.

If it came off and is a vent of sorts, the size of it indicates a large hole that needs to be covered. So returning it to its original home is somewhat important. I wouldnt want to be getting dirt into whatever it was protecting. Mirror works. I use my iphone and set it on video to look around...

L3301 Feeling Top Heavy / Tippy

Looks like they are spaced out as far as they can go. Saw somewhere someone made concrete wheel weights. A ballast box would be the easiest but not most effective.

Bent 60" Mid Mount Mower Blade - Also chipped inside edge of frame

Blade should have slipped, not bend the shaft. Unless it uses the star pattern hub. By loosening belt and spinning spindle you should see a bend. When loosening blades, grab a 2x4 to wedge blade in such a way to prevent it from turning. It will save your hands. And same to tighten. It seems if...

Adventure of replacing Hydraulic Hose for LA504

I have to agree, i made many hydraulic hoses in the past, working on getting a press to make them here in my shop. The parts guy is a knob, has not been instructed in the art of hose making and likely couldnt tell the difference between orb and jic. His parts and people skills likely suck...
